Chester, a Vietnam Veteran and a retired senior citizen, is steeped in old fashion tradition and struggles to accept the change that his young nephew Eddie emphatically embraces causing the two of them to have sarcastic dialogue on a regular basis. Poking fun at each other and their ways, Chester and Eddie struggle to see eye to eye in an ever-changing world. Family members and friends also join in on the comedic tug of war between Chester and his Nephew Eddie. Family and friends attempts to bridge the gap between Chester and his nephew Eddie by encouraging them to spend more time with one another in order to put their difference aside and come together on common ground. Bridging the gap between the previous generation and the next one is the dilemma every generation faces and has to come to grips with as portrayed in Young and Old.
