"I wanna know who exactly you are," the girl told Dion. She had stunning beauty- brown hair, brown eyes, but that didn't distract Dion. "Why? I am just a wanderer! I travel from place to place!" Dion lied. He supposed this girl was looking for..he guessed...Ezumalid? "Oh you are? Well, we are searching for a wizard boy who escaped the axe-raider. By the way, my name is Susanne and this guy over here is Lodick," Susanne told him. Dion hadn't recognized Lodick...until he realized he was an axe-raider. Uh-oh. "Lodick," the axe-raider held his hand out and Dion nervously but bravely shook it. He was glad this axe-raider didn't know him, but if Brianna or Wenalt had come, they would've been caught and recognized. They had told him the whole story of Koji and Lodick along with Ezumalid-who told most of it. He knew Koji had died by Ezumalid's electricity and had pretended to be immortal. Then they rode away. But in the direction of the Yodo Mountains. Dion needed to be careful to not be caught by them, but he was going to find Ezumalid first. The land turned from desert to rock as he saw, far away, Lodick and Susanne riding on their horses. Then, the land turned into the Joi Mountains, which Dion had read from some maps-it was in the middle of Dion's destination. Dion knew a way to get ahead of Susanne and Lodick-but that would be passing the mud crocodiles in the Gedas Swamp, who could devour a human in one whole bite. Dion decided to risk it and turned he other direction towards the swamp. The swamp path was curved and muddy and hard to pass through, Dion's feet got stuck everytime he tried to hurry up. Maybe he should have stayed behind Susanne and Lodick, but it was too late to turn paths. Dion grabbed 2 waters and 3 food packages out of the satchel until the bag suddenly disappeared under the swamp. HEY! Suddenly, a huge mud crocodile stood up from the swamp and towered above him, ready to eat Dion and his lunch.
