Two university professors, trying to solve a knotty problem involving quantum gravity, discover an anomaly in their equations, that leads them to find a simple method for space travel by way of wormholes in space-time. A U.S.Navel submarine research lab has been following the research of the professors, and see a way that it could have practical use. Marine Lieutenant Colonel Cason is sent to hire the professors to work for the Navy. Foreign scientists have also been following the work of the professors, and an Asian organization puts in play a plan to steal the professors' latest research. Colonel Cason's daughter and her boy friend are students of the professors, and through unanticipated events, find their lives threatened by the Asian spies.

About the Author

Richard L. Cave earned a B.A. degree from Harding College in psychology; an Ll.B. at the University of Memphis (licensed as an attorney in 1961); and a Ph.D. in psychology with a minor in abstract math from the University of Tennessee (1967). He has worked in newspaper advertising, as a technical writer for the Air Force, a missionary for the Churches of Christ, and as a university professor. He taught at Freed-Hardeman University for 22 years, at Henderson, Tennessee, Florence, Italy, and Verviers, Belgium. He has lectured in Vienna, Austria, Moskcw, Russia, and Ufa Russia. He retired in 1998, and began writing novels, among them: THE GOOD SHOP WALDO, THE SECRETS OF THE 94, PEACE KEEPERS, and THE STRUGGLE FOR THE BRONZE CUBE. Not yet published are HARTECLEFT HOUSE, and STATION XOP-13. He lives in Henderson, Tenness.
