Texas Gold's Runner-up for Best Historical Romance 2002

Highly recommended. – Under the Covers

Cheryl Bolen does it again! There is laughter, and the interaction of the characters pulls you right into the book. I look forward to the next in this series. 4 Stars – Romantic Times magazine

With His Ring is a good book. Once you start reading you will not want to put it down. . .The secondary characters are a blast. They will have you laughing right along with Glee's stunts. – The Romance Readers Connection

If you liked Cheryl Bolen's first installment in her Brides of Bath series set in Regency England, you'll like this one. With His Ring has plenty of sensuality. – Happily Ever After
Gregory's "convenient" marriage to Glee turns out to be anything but. He had wed to keep from losing his fortune; he'd not counted on losing his heart.

This second book in Cheryl Bolen's Brides of Bath series of Regency-set historicals is the best yeat! It's the story of Glee, who's always been in love with her brother's best friend, Blanks. When she learns Blanks must be wed by his 25th birthday or lose his vast fortune, she proposes. What follows is her outrageous plan to win her husband's love. Glee is a heroine who wears her heart on her sleeve. Blanks is a sensitive hero who I fell in love with. This is extremely romantic.

This was better than the first book. Several surprises, a fairly forward thinking young lady although she has some immature prankster type moments. But all in all a very good read. The only thing about the endings is they kinda leave you hanging, almost like they end too abruptly. However this is a good series and I think it has many potential story lines. I hope the next is just as good.

gregory & glee such good people Glee belief in her love and how her persistance in learning what gregory was in fear of is amazing. not many people take the time. I gave this book an extra star for clean sex.

Interesting plot and characters with quirky additional friends and family. Initially I felt Glee was selfishly trapping Blanks into a marriage for her benefit but as the story progresses her maturity and desire to help him grow into the person she has seen he can be beneath the bad behavior of his past shows her to be a strong, intelligent wife. Host of interesting characters and setting in Regency Bath keep the story moving along. Only complaint would be poor editing, numerous typos, ect.

Glee and Gregory’s story was excellent. The second book in Brides of Bath was wholly satisfying. The characters were endearing and humor was evident throughout. I have found this series to be engaging. I highly recommend this author.

The story was well written. I particularly enjoyed relating to each character. The descriptions were vivid and the personalities shined with realism. I am reading all the stories by this author.

Wildly Overrated, Silly Regency. 2.5 stars. This is a fairly lame Regency with a heroine who starts out as refreshingly direct, then indulges in implausible behaviors that would be easily solved if common sense were applied. The writing is consistently mediocre with barely a soupcon of authentic Regency flavor. Particularly distracting is the hilarious and repeated use of the word "retching" when the word "wrenching" should have appeared. This stops the action in its tracks every time, but a visit from Mrs. Malaprop is always welcome. An intriguing subplot involving charitable gestures toward a boy and his mother falls flat, showing little development or progress. I own other books by this author that may remain unread.

With His Ring: The Brides of Bath, Book 2 by Cheryl Bolen Have listened to other works by the author and have enjoyed the reads. I rarely listen to books from other countries as the accent can be too hard for me to understand but this narrator is spot on. This story starts in Hornsbee Manor, Warwickshire, England and Diana is confined with the new baby still and her sister is there, Glee is surrounded by married couples and is still unmarried after two seasons. There had been eight proposals and she accepted none-she wants to marry for love. She only wanted Blanks. They have known each other for many years... All the others were lacking compared to Greg. Glee's brother George was as wild as Blanks, drinking and women and now he had settled down to be the perfect husband. Glee wants to learn from a book, how to have sex. Diana advises her to just be natural and let it all come about by itself. Story also follows Gregory and he's on a mission...very caring and makes sure the boy tending to his horse will be given food and a coat as his mom cleans the building. His lawyer has business with Greg and will prepare him for the reading of his father's will. He must get married in four months or the estate goes to his half brother..she has the solution, they will marry, in name only....and Diana will help her find a house, a trousseau and get ready for the wedding in Bath. She discovers many things when she shows up early in Bath and she wonders if she's being a bit hasty... Detailed descriptions make me feel like I am there, also love learning new words. Blanks sure has his hands full, of her! So mischievous. I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.
