Wired has finally brought their amazing digital version of the magazine to the Nook Color and Nook Tablet. If you want to know what the future of professional digital publishing will look like, this is it. Wired didn't scan their pages into an app like most magazines. They make their magazine interactive. You can watch embedded videos of product reviews and other points of interest. You can touch various parts of some stories to experience interactive elements like sound effects. Links are provided to buy the products they are reviewing right inside the review. The ONE criticism I have is that you cannot enlarge pages to view detail in photos.

Loved the article on the history of LucasArts and films. ILM truly has a history of creative firsts in the film industry. Here it is, a¿l told.

NOTE: If you are trying to take advantage of the 14 day free trial and then linking your current print subscription to this digital one, make sure to choose to subscribe to the MONTHLY subscription on here, not the annual. I made this mistake and had to cancle my annual subscription and then pay the 1.99 for one month before I could then fix it. I think they should have made that fact clearer.
Besides that, actually reading it on the nook is great! I love the article view, yet everything design wise that I love about the magazine is transferred nicely. If I didn't already have a print subscription, I would only purchase it on nook, it's that good.

Don't bother trying to link a Wired physical subscription to the Nook following Conde Nast's directions, it won't work and your trial will run out while trying to get help from the clueless customer support @ B&N. Then you will be paying for 2 subscriptions and have to fight B&N for a refund!
