This book was bought for my 9 year old son who LOVES to read. He wanted to read the classics just like me, but a lot of the wording was too hard. The classic starts series is perfect for kids who want to get into the classics without all the complicated wording. A great encouragment to keep the reading going! All the basics of the great originals in an easier to read format.

This book is easy to read and has lots of action. No matter what reading level your child is, this book is exciting when a child reads it or has it read to them and they understand what is written.

My son got this as a gift and loved it. I never read White Fang and did a quick read of a few chapters of the original that found for free online; then read this one through. This is a good book and I'm tempted to check out the original now. Only reason not 5 stars is that, in the original chapters I've read online and some google searches (nothing too deep), it appears that one character in the first chapter DIES (it strongly suggests that he dies anyway and since it is not graphically detailed not sure why it was not included here). I'm not sure what else could have been changed as I've never read anything but a few bits of the original so only 4 stars.

This was a gift for my special little friend who is finally realizing her reading potential after finally having a teacher who understands her form of dyslexia and was able to "break through to her" thought and visual process and help her to make sense of the words and their order. Kudos to special teachers who take the time to really understand their students!!

I love this book. I have read this upwards of 20 times, and it never gets old! His description of wolves is almost magical. Very interesting perspective and easy to read.

This is an amazing book, highly addictive. I just couldn¿t put it down. Jack London writes with detail and emotion! The story¿s about a wolf named White Fang and its life through the hands of many masters. This is one of those books that transports you to another place and time while you¿re reading it - a real time machine. And since it¿s always told from the wolf¿s point of view, sometimes it made me remember the National Geographic TV documentaries I watched in awe when I was a child. It also focuses on the man-animal relationship, and how the environment and society shape spirits and behaviours. After reading it I learned that this book is a companion novel for Jack London¿s most famous novel, ¿Call of the Wild¿, in which a dog becomes wild again, in contrast to White Fang, a wolf that becomes domesticated.

Good read. Loved the wild, cold outdoor portions of the book and the perspective of White Fang finding his way in the difficult situations he found himself in. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the outdoors. White Fangs perspective give the reader a perspective that could only be accomplished if you tried to think like a wild animal. Somehow, Jack London was able to pull this off.
