This is not a thriller, even though promised on the cover. The characters are almost non-dimensional and the plot is both contrived and trite. This book seems to be an attempt to capitalize on the author's name and previous successes. How can one believe that a senior manager (Bree) leaves her post in DC to fly a cargo plane whose co-pilot has suddenly become ill, the plane is carrying combat helos and then she is able to fly one to the rescue of her team in the Sudan? Where are the plot twists? Where are the surprising characters? Brown/Defelice and their editor/publisher needed to put some more work into this one...

I am a fan of both the authors, however, when you take old folks and try to make them into the hero's they were 20 ago, it just does not work. Should have left them in retirement.

Author should have juststarted a new series instead of trying to make believe that this is another Dreamland book. Half way done and i am bored to tears.

Great book as usual. I liked that he used some continuing characters from Dreamland Series. I enjoyed it very much. Will wait for the next book with anticipation.
