About the Author

William C. Dietz is the author of more than twenty science fiction novels, including the Legion of the Damned novels: Legion of the Damned, The Final Battle, By Blood Alone, By Force of Arms, For More Than Glory, and For Those Who Fell. He grew up in the Seattle area, spent time with the Navy and Marine Corps as a medic, graduated from the University of Washington, lived in Africa for half a year, and has traveled to six continents. Dietz has been variously employed as a surgical technician, college instructor, news writer and television producer. He and his wife enjoy traveling, boating, snorkeling, and, not too surprisingly, reading books.

The book begins by introducing every stereotype ever used in Science Fiction. This includes the 'enemy' being giant cockroach type beings. The story is 'ragged'. Instead of a smooth story line, you feel like you are being jerked from one episode to another. Amateurish.

I just want to say first that I feel like I'm right there in the middle of what ever is happening and I love it. Second how many dang times is he going to tell us that Algernon sounds really dang fast, it's like every time we go to the planet he has to say it.
