Summary: This was an awesome book detailing great weather all the way to hurricanes and tornados.Personal Reaction:I loved this book because I have always been intrigued by the weather.Classroom Extensions:1. After reading this book, I would have the students write about their scariest "adventure" with the weather.2. I would also have them draw a picture of what they think a hurricane looks like from space.
My 8 yr. old son started a love for the weather 2 years ago and has been checking out from the library various books about the weather. I got this for his 8th birthday recently because of the kid-friendly, vivid illustrations and explanations of the different weather conditions. He absolutely loves it.
