The poems in Va verdad integrate various voices—intimate, anonymous, those heard in dreams, conversations, and lectures—to create a space of coexistence in which the present is revealed and the future projected. This is perhaps Antonio Méndez Rubio’s most personal and refined book to date, the product of a writer who has always understood the personal in the political and the need for personal change to bring about collective change.
