This is the true story of a passion that defied death, the story how Count Carl von Cosel, a Key West doctor, scientist and romantic, took the body of Elena Milagro Hoyos from her mausoleum in the island’s cemetery and attempted to reanimate her by using electrical currents, wax and chemical solutions -- like a later-day Frankenstein. Not just a shocking story of necrophilia, this is an obsessive romance that reached beyond the grave. “Ben Harrison has given us an unforgettable classic,” says Shirrel Rhoades, publisher of Absolutely Amazing eBooks.
