Overview
The Godfather of Country Music in Canada, Hank Snow was known early in his career as "the Yodeling Ranger," and he specialized in not only yodels, à la Jimmie Rodgers, but in songs about traveling, including his self-penned signature song "I'm Movin' On," and like Rodgers, he loved trains and train songs, as well as songs about cowboys and the West, which this fun Bear Family set collects here, making for a kind of Snow-led and sung tour of Texas towns and other iconic and familiar place names of the American West, including tracks recorded from the 1930s through the 1960s.
