About the Author

Whether it's crime thrillers for adults or adventure stories for young readers, bestselling author Ridley Pearson brings imagination, suspense, and an impeccable eye for detail to all his award-winning fiction. His books for adults include the Risk Agent series, featuring security operative John Knox and former Chinese spy Grace Chu, and other standalone novels like Cut and Run. For children, Pearson's most popular series are the fantasy-adventure Disney's Kingdom Keeper books and spin-off titles. With humorist and friend Dave Barry, he has co-written a prequel series to J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan, Peter and the Starcatchers; the first of the series was made into the musical play, Peter and the Starcatcher.

Why do I continue to read books that are not that great? This book is readable if there is nothing else available.

A well-written and entertaining story that just went on and on with too many anti-climactic moments.  I've read Ridley Pearson's Lou Boldt books but not in order.  If I had read this one first, I might not have grabbed a second won.

I first read this book in junior high, and now, 15 years later, I re-read it and it is just as exciting! Maybe I have an affinity for his books because they are set in my hometown of Seattle, but they are also very well written and you don't know the outcome until the last paragraph!!

This is the first book of Ridley Pearson's that I've read and it was very enjoyable. I will definitely read more of his.

This is one of the best mystery novels I have ever read, and the only one I've read 3 times.
