Regrettably bypassing the Top Ten hit "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough," Twelve Deadly Cyns features almost all of Cyndi Lauper's Top 40 hits, tacking on a handful of new tracks at the end, including "Hey Now (Girls Still Wanna Have Fun)," an updated version of her breakthrough hit single, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." As hits collections go, the album is fine, but with the exception of the ballad "True Colors" and the pop confection "Change of Heart," all of her finest songs and biggest hits were on She's So Unusual, which is a more consistent and entertaining album.

When Cyndi Lauper broke onto the scene in 1983, with her Multi Million sellling debute ''She's so unusual'' it was no secret, there was a star in the making. Over the years Cyndi has been consistent with making colorful and yet mainstream rock. Song's like ''True Colors and All through the Night'' are sweet and sensitive ballads, that strike a musical chord with everyone's heart. Straight ahead fun with ''She Bop and Girls Just want to have Fun'', are songs that never age. Fading from the music elite in the early 90's, Cyndi has continued to write and create vibrant and intelligent pop music. This album is a must have.
