Overview

A woman searching for her long-lost brother teams up with a government agent to track him down, but they're about to discover shocking lies . . . and an undeniable chemistry that tempts them both.

Erin: After years of searching for the brother she's never known, Erin O'Shea has finally found his San Francisco address. She stands on the doorstep, unaware that she's about to experience a shocking drama of family lies — and meet an intriguing, infuriating man who will change her life.

Lance: He's a G-man for the government's toughest cases — like the big-money scam involving Erin's long-lost brother. But although Lance is immediately attracted to her, he could never predict that his feelings will drive him to break every rule in the book — and put his career and even Erin's future on the line.

Nothing but a cheap romance novel. I have read most of Sandra Brown's books but this was very disappointing.

This is another of Sandra's 'Bests'... I loved 'Slow Heat In Heaven' and put it as my number one Sandra Brown book. Now I think I found a tie for number one. 'A Treasure Worth Seeking' -- I loved it and can't stop going back to it to reread certain passages. Lance is certainly one of those guys that keeps your interest through out the whole story... and after the story...

This was an unlikely story, and Ms. Brown's characters and plot were not as developed as usual. I almost put it down, but there was just enough going on, and just enough interest in the characters to keep me going. Not one of her best, but because I am a big fan I finished the book. In the end, I would say that it was fairly entertaining.

This was definitely one of her better books. Keeps you wondering what is going to happen next.

This is just a run-of-the-mill romance, with all of the proper elements... instant attraction followed by a personality conflict, reluctant surrender, a situation that makes it impossible for romance to continue, a dramatic event where true feelings are revealed... all that's missing is the ripping bodice. A fun read if you¿re into that sort of thing.
