If you've not played Underworlds, and you're a semi-casual gamer, then this is probably a good place for you to start. I've found this system to be engaging and play whenever I get the chance. Dreadfane has the same quality figures as the other Underworlds. Curiously, they used the same factions as the previous set, which is great for me since I play Nighthaunts in the Age of Sigmar game, and (like the other sets) the factions transfer nicely to that game. A few minor downsides that shouldn't dissuade people from trying this: - the objectives are printed on the board - no placing them during setup - there are no 'generic' cards, only fixed faction decks - no ranged or magic rules - I didn't see warscrolls for these figures yet, but the game is still pretty new. There are new Event cards that can have a huge random effect on the game. Draw one on the first turn, two on the second, three on the third.
