Overview

ABOUT THE BOOK
TIME SHIFT includes many things that happened in the 1950’s in Port Arthur, Texas. The town was a great place to live before the 1960’s when it changed forever and the experience of the town that was called THE WICKED CITY in the early days will never return (for better or worse). The story starts in 1986 when a young man that was born in Port Arthur was shot and killed in Houston. His parents were born and raised in Port Arthur so the story jumps back in time to examine the teen life in that exciting era. Hot rods, ice cream parlors, crime and prostitution were part of their lives, but growing-up would have to wait until later.

About the Author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Michael T. Gracey lives with his wife Beverly in Houston, Texas. He wanted to write all his life, but got little encouragement from teachers and the education system. He once wrote a story for an English class in high school and was accused of copying it from a book. It was something that had happen to him only weeks before. Without an outlet for his story writing, he turned to his love of mechanical devices, engineering and technical subjects. In the University, he became editor of the engineering magazine. Then while working in the research field after graduation, he wrote and presented technical papers to societies and technical groups from Mexico City to Toronto Canada and from Berkeley, California to Boston Massachusetts. His first technical book was published in 2006 and his first novel was published in 2009.
Later books included The Time Detour, The Time End and My Life as an Elvis.
