Overview

On a lower budget than Get on Your Mark, the trio's second set still has its little bit of charm. RCA marketed it as a "specially priced mini-album" at the time, concurrent with similar releases by Glenn Jones, Alfie Silas, and Vaughan Mason and Butch Dayo. The highlight is the pensive ballad "One Man's Woman," a composition by Grace and fellow member Keith Rawls that showcases sharp melodic skill and Grace's vocal ability to gravitate between sweet and soulful. Otherwise, the selections are fun and rhythmic, if not particularly permeating in lasting effect -- though the sassy female funk of "Dog Eat Dog World," featuring keyboards by member Ros Sweeper, undoubtedly inspired later, prominent efforts like Janet Jackson's "Control." The group wrote all tunes except "Work It Out," which was penned by ex-Temptation Ali "Ollie" Woodson, and Rawls adds to his credits, serving as co-producer with Ed Howard.
