Overview

Rory Sullivan, a renowned artisan woodworker, has no plans to fall in love anytime soon. Especially not with Zara Mirren, who shares a converted warehouse space with him in Bar Harbor, Maine. While she is a brilliant maker—the eyeglasses frames she designs are practically works of art—everything else about her drives him bonkers. The way she's always whistling cheesy pop songs off-key. The way her half-drunk cups of coffee litter every available countertop. And especially the way he can't take his eyes off her whenever she enters a room...or stop thinking about her after she leaves.

Zara loves everything about her career—designing and manufacturing bright, fun glasses frames fulfills both the creative and technical sides of her brain. The only downside to coming to work is bumping into irritating, far-too-handsome-for-his-own-good Rory Sullivan...even if she secretly enjoys the zingers they throw at each other. On the plus side, thinking up new ways to torment Rory on a daily basis has helped Zara stop dwelling on the fact that her ex-boyfriend cheated on her with her stepsister.

But when Zara learns that her ex and her stepsister have just become engaged, she's doubly stunned by Rory's suggestion to go as her pretend boyfriend to their engagement party, in a one-night truce where they'll be a team rather than adversaries. Only, when it turns out that the sparks between them disguise a deeper passion—and bigger emotional connection—than either has ever known, will both Rory and Zara end up losing their hearts to the last person they could have imagined?

THERE GOES MY HEART is part of Bella Andre's New York Times and USA Today #1 bestselling series about The Sullivans. While it can easily be read as a stand-alone story, you'll likely enjoy reading the other books, too.

"I adore the Sullivans! They love hard, laugh uproariously and live in the moment." 5 stars from Isha

"Sweet, charming, heartwarming and sexy in all the right ways." 5 stars Marybeth

OMG I adore Rory & Zara!! I love the pretend couple turns real trope! It's always so much fun to watch two people who clearly have chemistry and passion make a deal to pretend to be a couple and then it doesn't take long before they realize they are not faking it anymore! Rory and Zara are both such great characters who both have past relationships that messed them up. They are both creative and passionate about their work. As they work together to face their pasts, they see just how much of a glorious future they can have with each other and how those past events led them to each other! This story, as with all of Bella's stories, is a wonderful blend of all the good stuff I look for in a romance. Sweet, funny, full of heartwarming moments, sexy and always full of so much love and family. From start to finish, this is a winner!!!

Rory and Zara have businesses in the same warehouse. For the past year they have been teasing each other. Rory walks in on Sara crying and wants to help her. Soon they discover they really like each other. A well written story with strong and believable characters. Bella has given us another wonderful couple to fall in love with.joy943

The generous and empathetic Sullivan heart has our Hero, Rory, volunteering to be the pretend boyfriend of our heroine, Zara, a colleague he doesn't even particularly "like" (or does he?)! The Bella Andre formula of pairing loyal and kind-hearted male Sullivans with strong heroines successfully plays out in this story as well. Even with this familiar pretend boyfriend trope, the author weaves in interesting side relationships involving our protagonists to create another unique and enjoyable story. Loved it!

OMG! Reading Rory and Zara's story was so much fun! The constant sniping at each other was a hoot. Who wouldn't fall in love with a gal that speaks her mind, designs eyewear, and gives back as good as she gets? Rory, since he has been at odds with Zara for a long time. Put them together in a situation that Rory has agreed to, as he helps her out, and the sparks begin to fly! The Sullivan family gets another HEA as love finds Rory and Zara! The Sullivan books by Bella Andre are all standalone reads for all ages, and I would like to thank her PA for gifting me "There Goes My Heart". My opinion is voluntary and my own. This is mine 5 Stars!

A sweetly thrilling, sexy yet emotional romantic journey filled with love, longing, witty banter and passion.... a exciting and highly entertaining read from beginning to end that will leave you breathless. I really enjoyed this adventure and am looking forward to my next visit.

From “ Your Love is Mine” to “There Goes My Heart” you just know that Rory and Zara will end up together. Their bickering and pranks served as their year long foreplay of getting to know each other paving the way to a beautiful friendship that became a relationship.

ARC for honest review with no compensation There Goes My Heart is book 2 of the Maine Sullivan’s and book 20 in the Sullivans series by Bella Andre and a swoon worthy read about Rory and Zara! Zara and Rory have been working in the same artisan building for the past year, she makes designer glasses frames and he does woodworking and getting on each other’s last nerve. Lots of bantering, bickering and sparks but both are down on love and HEA. Zara moved to Bar Harbor over a year ago after her sister and her boyfriend at the time decided to get together...now she received notification that they are engaged so she decided to get tipsy and spill on what happened to Rory. He decides to go with her to the engagement party for moral support and they become a “pretend couple”...except with sparks flying, a deeper passion, undercurrent that’s been ignored and an emotional connection that’s been ignored they might just turn the “pretend” into a “real” couple and find their HEA when they least expect it! Funny, steamy, bantering, tears and emotions galore makes you want to keep reading til it done!!

This is another great read from this author. Even though this is book twenty in the Sullivans they are all stand alone. This book is how Rory finds his true love. Zara and Rory work in the same building one morning Rory got to work and found Zara getting absolutely blind drunk he new strait away there was something up with Zara because she is usually so bubbly. When he found out the problem he decided to go with Zara to her stepsister engagement party with her. This is where The story really starts to find out what I mean you will have to read it yourself be warn if you haven’t read any of the other books in the Sullivans books you will won’t to read more of them. This was such a fantastic read it has you laughing out loud at times but other times you are reaching for the tissues. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I received this ARC for an honest review. This is my second favorite book from Bella Andre. My first is “The Look of Love”, but this story is a very close second. You have feel Bella’s passion for Rory and especially Zara. Zara creates designer frames for glasses, and Rory is a furniture builder. They met because they both rent warehouse space in the same building. Rory and Zara met on her first day there because according to Rory, “Zara parked in his spot”. They fought everyday since then. Zara received an invite to her step sister’s engagement party to Zara’s ex-boyfriend (who cheated on Zara with her step sister). Zara is upset and got drunk at work. Luckily, Rory found Zara and took her to his house to let her sleep it off. Rory offered to go the party with Zara as her new boyfriend. Does sparks fly? What happens next??? Not going to tell you...You must read the book to find out. I DO recommend. This will go in my re-read pile.

I so want to be a Sullivan! This family never disappoints me and Bella does an incredible job of bringing them to life. And not some ideal, perfect family life, but a real life with demons and triumphs, with love and suspicion but in the end, it is always about family and love. This is the introduction to the Maine siblings. Rory is a wood furniture maker, a freelance artist who is recovering from a tragedy but getting by. Part of his “therapy” is the witty banter he shares with his one of his artists in residence, Zara, the pretty but smart mouthed eyeglass maker. When their paths finally collide and he has a chance to get to know her, the fireworks are exploding. But can the past ever stay away long enough to explore their future? Even if you haven’t read any of the earlier Sullivan family stories, this is easy enough to read as a stand alone. But if you are looking for an incredible family saga, with love, heat and very real people, read the rest of the Sullivan series.

PHENOMENAL!!! Pure and simply put, phenomenal. I have been hooked on the Sullivan series by Bella Andre for a very long time. I know over the past few years my dearest wish is to become a member of the Sullivan family, and the latest release by Bella Andre, There Goes My Heart has brought that thought more to heart. I just love that every Sullivan is always there for another family member, no matter what. Rory Sullivan and Zara Mirren are absolutely perfect together. I love their history, and I think that this is what made them perfect together. They just feed off the other, and in my opinion, the sniping… just a precursor for what was to come. Sorry Ladies, I do not want to give anything away, but I still think Brittany is an uncaring b….er a witch!! One of my favorite things about this story was seeing Baby Ruby again, has done it again… Stolen some of the show and made the one more aspect of the story wonderful. I think she brought Rory and Zara closer to each other. I was gifted with a copy of this wonderful book for my reading pleasure, and I cannot wait for it to be also released in audio form so I can purchase it and listen to this wonderful book over and over again, just like the rest of the series!!!! Thank you, Ms. Andre for sharing your phenomenal writing talents with your readers. I cannot tell you the hours and hours of reading pleasure you and your books have given me over the last few years. Thank you for reading my review. I really believe you can’t go wrong purchasing this book. I know you will enjoy it as much as I have.

"There Goes My Heart" is written by Bella Andre, and it part of The Sullivans Book series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Rory Sullivan and Zara Mirren. This was a nice quick read for me. Rory and Zara are both artists, who work in the same work place at a converted warehouse. One day, Rory finds Zara moping and drunk. He asks her what's the celebration and she tells him that her stepsister, Brittany, and her ex are now engaged. Zara caught them together less than a year ago. Despite Rory and her always bickering, Rory doesn't like Zara in this state, so he suggests to Zara that he will be her date to the engagement party. Zara is reluctant at first, but she goes along with his plan. But what happens when one night of pretend feels all too real? What happens when they decide to make it a week longer? Will love win out? One thing that I enjoyed about this story is that you see their relationship and their feelings really grow. You want to root for them. The people around Rory and Zara were not surprised when they actually started dating. They've always had that energy and chemistry around them. Another great story by Bella Andre! Looking forward to her next installment!

I absolutely adored this amazing read. This endearing romance was sweet, funny and emotional. I thought that Rory and Zara were very likable. The sparks and and banter fly between these two and it is impossible not to feel the intense pull of attraction between these two. A delightful read that gives you all the feels you could ask for.

Romance So Sweet! Bella Andre has created a wonderful world with the Sullivans and this family is just freaking amazing! In the latest of the Sullivan Series (The Maine Sullivans), There Goes My Heart, we learn more about Rory who is wood artist creating amazing furniture and I just found him and his profession to be so sexy. Rory is a family guy with a heart of gold and lives in a wonderful lighthouse. He just made me all gooey. Zara is also an artist. She creates unique frames for glasses. She’s a bit quirky, strong and well, she has spent the past year sparing with Rory since they work in a shared warehouse. Rory, being the perfect prince charming comes quickly to Zara’s rescue when she finds herself in a bind and the story takes off from there. I won’t give any more details because you just gotta read the story. It’s a fast and fun read with family, snarky comments, crazy situations and crazy exs. If you’ve ever read Bella Andre before you know she writes sweet romances with characters that overcome personal odds. This is another great Sullivan read that I’ve fallen in love with. Please note that you can read each Sullivan book as a standalone, but I think once you read one, you will want to binge on the entire family. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this novel. I am voluntarily and freely providing an honest review.

Another absolute Bella Andre Sullivan winner of a book. The love and characterizations of each Sullivan finding their romance makes all these books a joy to read. This book revolves around the “Maine” Sullivans, and Rory in particular. One of the 7 children of Beth and Ethan. He and Zara were great characters with lots of healing to do for both of them. Rory was going to keep his heart locked up forever, and Zara felt as if she didn’t deserve happiness. However put the two of them together and add “Chocolate cake” and the romance bloomed! Bella Sullivan is a one click author for me, and she never disappoints.

There Goes My Heart is an amazing journey of two individuals who realize that they truly admire each other and the strengths that the other person possesses. Zara is carrying such a heavy load of guilt that Rory helps her see is not truly her burden or guilt. At the same time, Zara helps Rory see past his own guilt. I love how well the two of them mesh together and the side stories of how everyone tries to help them see what is right in front of them. I cannot wait for the next Maine Sullivan story!

I loved Rory and Zara. I can see this story unfolding in real life. It was funny, wonderful and so real.

Rory Sullivan and Zara Mirren have sworn off love but the sparks between them are off the charts. Rory trying to help Zara is the spark that sets things in motion between these two. Loved reading their story!
GwenL 28 days ago
Rory and Zara are such fun characters. Both are very independent (artisan and small business owners), yet both have pasts that have convinced them they don’t deserve love. Bella Andre presents her second title in the Maine Sullivans as an enemies-to-lovers story. Rory and Zara have known each other for a year and know how to push each other’s buttons with snarky comments. When Rory finds Zara in a vulnerable situation, he lets his White Knight flag fly and offers to rescue her. For the next week, sparks fly as this couple learn the truth that hate covers up love! I’ve loved all of Andre’s Sullivan books, but I like the Maine family branch the best. They seem just a bit more down-to-earth, closer to us mortals (no movie stars, professional athletes or world-famous artists in the bunch). THERE GOES MY HEART fits as a stand-alone title, but I guarantee you will want to catch up with the other Sullivans — in Maine, New York, California and Washington — once you’re done!

I really liked Rory and Zara much better than I thought that I would. I loved their witty conversations and comebacks. Underneath their “supposed” dislike of each other, lies an extreme attraction and understanding of each other that takes them by surprise. And, of course, we have a whole new Sullivan family to love and want to be a part of. If you’re looking for an easy read with people that you would love to be a part of their lives, then you found it.

THERE GOES MY HEART...Belle Andre Rory.successful in his career as an artist, but not in long time relationships. A mishap and he only will allow one night stands now. Then Zara comes into his life, and sparks fly, she works next to him in the warehouse, also as an artist. His pattern for life, has been turned upside down. The banter that is tossed back and forth . They both have a past history, and of them getting past that and letting love happen. Another good story to read about the Sullivans. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Andre certainly knows her way around a heart. She creates characters that chronicle love at it's most inspiring and heartbreaking. There's a hint of dreamer and a dash of realism that speaks to us in our most fragile moments. There Goes My Heart is a frenemies romance. Zara and Rory are learning how to trust their feelings, despite the bruises they've acquired along the way. It's in the heartache, that hope begins and love finds the compass to guide these two lost souls home. I've said it many times before, but there is no probably in this case, Rory and Zara are my favorite Sullivan couple.
