I trully enjoyed reading the 3rd Meadowbrook series, and even if you havent read the first two,you can easily follow along the characters.I do recommend reading the first two, more of familiarizing yourself with Meadowbrook and its people,to appreciate the meaning of this charming boutique hotel, its animal sanctuary, the Garden Ladies, the Morris Dancers, and mostly, the bonding of the Singer siblings who previously had to live in the father's Meadowbrook Manor hotel for a year ,in order to inherit it. They bonded so well, they have stayed to run the hotel. Toby is the baby and new member, as well as other new names in this series. Pippa, the younger of the family feels threatened by their new young perfect longterm guest , Brooke.. She is attractive and bubbly. as well and can do anything right. Including bonding with her best freind Hector. He too is a temporary writer guest and is Pippa tkaing him for granted? After all, Theyve been best freinds for quite a long time. Altho Pippa starts dating Harvey, the workaholic who seems egoistic and selfish(in my eyes), she is beginning to not trust a freind she thought she ha din Brooke. Her suspicions prove her right...Brooke isnt running away from her family only to be far away from them...Pippa makes a discovery for the real painful truth why Brooke has landed at their Meadowbrook Manor. A delightful and romance read, Im looking forward to continue reading about the SInger Family with their new additions and surprises.
I enjoyed this book so much! It is the 3rd book in the Meadowbrook Manor series. I do believe that you could read each book in this series, without the knowledge of the others, but I would hope you would read all three since they are such heartwarming stories. The Ticket to Happiness brings us back to the hotel and animal sanctuary owned by the Singer siblings in Parker’s Hollow village. Many of the quirky villagers from the previous stories make an appearance in this book, including the Morris Dancers and the Garden Club Ladies. Reading about them again, made me smile and chuckle over and over again! The overall theme in the book is about family bonds, accepting each other with their faults and gifts and overcoming difficulties as a family (village) unit. The story brought such a warm feeling to me, almost as if I was also a member of the village. There are many sub plots going on in this book. I found the reading flying by as I wanted to know the outcome of relationships and situations. The author does an amazing job of description. I feel like I visited Parker’s Hollow and can see the gardens, pub and Meadowbrook Manor in my mind. The characters are also well developed and each personality is unique and life-like. The actions they take are realistic for their personality. I am hoping there will be more books in this series. I want to continue my time visiting the people that spend time at Meadowbrook Manor. I want to thank Avon Books UK and NetGalley.com for allowing me to read the Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book. I truly enjoyed this story and will be telling my friends about it, in hopes they will read it. Opinions I share in this review are my own and not influenced by receiving the ARC of this book.
