The Signalman was written by the famous author Charles Dickens and was set in the Victorian times. The language used in this book is quite difficult, as it uses words like purused and other old words. It is written in 1st person, which means you know his opinions and feelings. The mood in this book is mysterious and you feel really suspicious. The story is about a man finding a weird man, a sigalman, down my the train track. He signals to trains and lives near by. He works in the signalbox and is a strange man. The Signalman has been seeing a ghost making sighns to him and showing him the future. The first time he shiws him the future it really happens. The man who has found him, sets out to help him get rid of this mysterious ghost. It is a short and spooky tale from one of Britains most famous author.
