From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Daughters of the Bride comes the charming tale about the problem with secrets, the power of love and the unbreakable bond between sisters

Kelly Murphy's life as a tulip farmer is pretty routine—up at dawn, off to work, lather, rinse, repeat. But everything changes one sun-washed summer with two dramatic homecomings: Griffith Burnett—Tulpen Crossing's prodigal son, who's set his sights on Kelly—and Olivia, her beautiful, wayward and, as far as Kelly is concerned, unwelcome sister. Tempted by Griffith, annoyed by Olivia, Kelly is overwhelmed by the secrets that were so easy to keep when she was alone.

But Olivia's return isn't as triumphant as she pretends. Her job has no future, and ever since her dad sent her away from the bad boy she loved, she has felt cut off from her past. She's determined to reclaim her man and her place in the family…whether her sister likes it or not. For ten years, she and Kelly have been strangers. Olivia will get by without her approval now.

While Kelly and Olivia butt heads, their secrets tumble out in a big hot mess, revealing some truths that will change everything they thought they knew. Can they forgive each other—and themselves—and redefine what it means to be sisters?

Told with Mallery's trademark heart and humor, the Tulip Sisters are in for the most colorful summer of their lives…

Sister's, who haven't seen each other's in years, try to forgive the hurts they have caused each other. The characters are so well written you feel all the emotions they are going though. The story shows hurt, abandonment, loneliness, fear, friendship, secrets and love. A book you won't want to put down until you finish it. Along with a great story Susan has also given us some funny moments too. Put on your must read list. joy943

The intrigue of sisters, the love of a father, and the difference between sex and falling in love combine as elements in this novel. The interaction between the estranged sisters and their mother also adds an intriguing element in this story as multiple feelings converge into a great story about interpersonal relationships.

Okay Summer Read...... I received an ARC in exchange for my review of the Secrets of the Tulip Sisters. As I sat down to write this review, I struggled. Typically I enjoy Susan Mallery’s books – and this is very similar to other novels of hers. Multiple cast of characters whose lives are intertwined to various degrees. But for some reason, I just couldn’t lose myself in this book and subsequently didn't care about the fates/relationships for these characters. The book focuses on the Murphy sisters – Kelly and Oliva. Their parents divorced when the girls were teenagers, upending their lives. Each parent had a ‘favorite’ child, which of course is a major source of the conflict. The other assorted characters fell flat for me as well. I never got invested in any of them and frankly, I didn’t really care if they got their happily ever after at the end. And some of the relationships were too intertwined for me. A big portion of the book focuses on secrets. Everytime a secret came to light it felt like ugh here we go again. Some of the secrets seemed like they were thrown in there, so that character could have a secret. If I could, I would probably give this book 2 ½ stars. Since I didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it, I’ll stick with three stars. Not a book I will probably read again. **SPOILER** Jeff (Kelly and Oliva’s dad) refuses to talk badly about Marilee (his ex-wife). Which I think we are supposed to find admirable but for me it made him seem spineless. Sure, don’t talk badly about her. But don’t let her walk all over you, staying in your house, manipulating everyone and ruining relationships.

This book was long had several different things to keep your interest in this story. It was sad that the sisters had been a part so long when they where young, But it was wonderful they got back together. And that the dad found love as well as both daughters!

The title of this wonderful book could not be more fitting. I loved it. Everyone has secrets, but when they aren’t told to people who matter the most and to those that could end up having life-altering affects, things could be catastrophic. Twists and turns and unexpected surprises happen throughout this book between sisters, best friends, parents, and friends. It was great fun, even though the circumstances were serious. I highly recommend this book, which has romance, lies, secrets, deceptions, and a happy ever after. To me, It is fiction and romance rolled into one.

Secrets of the Tulip Sisters is a triple romance filled with family drama. Sisters, Kelly and Olivia, haven’t talked much since high school, so when Olivia decides to move back home after a career set back, they don’t really know how to relate to one another. There are secrets and mistrust, which result in some interesting drama. Meanwhile their father is falling in love, but their mother’s return to town as well upsets that situation resulting in more drama. I love drama! This book was fun and rather steamy. It had a Love, Actually kind of feel with multiple love stories going at once with a whole other mess of things – jobs, family, a small town tourism board – thrown in. It wasn’t an amazing story, but it was a good read (well, listen). It kept me company on a long drive a couple of weeks ago, and I find myself thinking about the characters still from time to time. They all seemed so real. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect with this book, but I was surprised by how much was packed into the story.

Check out the full review at Kritters Ramblings Two sisters and a best friend are the main characters of this book. Kelly and Olivia Murphy are back living in their childhood home and as they try to live together with their father in the house also drama and secrets unfold and it will take a lot of work to heal this family.

As with all of Susan Mallery’s books, this was really well written. BUT, this book had so much going on! Kelly and Griffith’s budding relationship, Olivia starting fresh with her family and her multiple love interests, their fathers relationship with Helen, Helen’s insecurity with the ex wife showing up, an auction, a crazy mother, sheesh! I would’ve been happy with just one love story and the sisters renewing their relationship. Was the book good? Well, sure, but just when I started getting into one storyline, the POV shifted and I was reading from another characters POV. I will say that some of the issues in this book dealing with insecurity with sex, weight, self esteem, etc. were very realistic and I enjoyed seeing how these characters overcame these problems, but the amount of problems and who was sleeping with whom was a bit much. Will I keep reading Susan Mallery? Absolutely, so I guess it didn’t disappoint that much. ❤️❤️❤️❣️

Susan Mallory does it again with the Secrets of the Tulip Sisters. I really loved the dynamics of the sisters, their relationship, and each of their love stories. Susan gives us some HOT scene in this story which is not for the faint at heart.

My favorite flower is the tulip, and when I saw the title I didn't dare to dream that tulips would play a part in the story, but they do! Susan Mallery has a gift writing characters that I feel invested in. I have to start her books with plenty of time to read because I don't want to put the book down. This story did not disappoint!

Kelly Murphy thinks she has life figured out and and has come to terms with things she may not be able to reach, that is until she gives in to the sexy and charming Griffith and his rather unorthodox proposal. Olivia returns home with a chip on her shoulder about being sent away at such a young age, but she has things planned out and nothing will get in her way...........or so she thought. As Olivia finds out, things don't always go as planned, sometimes they have a way of turning out even better, after she meets a man that is not afraid to strut his stuff and tell her what she needs to hear all the while supporting her in the plans she has forming. As the sisters find there way around becoming family again their just might be another romance blooming or at least trying to until Marilee shows up and throws everyone and everything into chaos. This story will have you guessing at every turn and smiling the whole time.

Funny, tender and some of the characters you just wanted to pinch. When reading I was there with them in Tulpen Crossings. Didn’t want to lay my book down wanted to find out what was going to happen next.

Kelly, Olivia and Helen were all my favorites in this book- I can't pick a favorite.I don't want to give away the storyline but all went through very realistic situations which Susan's readers can relate too. Susan never disappoints with books and this was by far my favorite. I highly encourage you to read it- you won't be disappointed.

More twists than the mountain roads in Washington state and even more secrets behind each curve! The characters drew me in from the beginning and learning about the tulip growing industry was the cherry on top of the sundae of the book. The secrets kept for whatever reason were a huge part of this book and reading the characters weigh their pros and cons of keeping those secrets was a true testament on human nature. A truly enjoyable read.
