A vampire and a scientist’s fates are passionately entwined in a race against time in this thrilling romance in the #1 New York Times bestselling “utterly absorbing and deliciously erotic” (Angela Knight, New York Times bestselling author) Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

In the venerable history of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, only one male has ever been expelled—but Murhder’s insanity gave the Brothers no choice. Haunted by visions of a female he could not save, he nonetheless returns to Caldwell on a mission to right the wrong that ruined him. However, he is not prepared for what he must face in his quest for redemption.

Dr. Sarah Watkins, researcher at a biomedical firm, is struggling with the loss of her fellow scientist fiancé. When the FBI starts asking about his death, she questions what really happened and soon learns the terrible truth: Her firm is conducting inhumane experiments in secret and the man she thought she knew and loved was involved in the torture.

As Murhder and Sarah’s destinies become irrevocably entwined, desire ignites between them. But can they forge a future that spans the divide separating the two species? And as a new foe emerges in the war against the vampires, will Murhder return to his Brothers... or resume his lonely existence forevermore?

I loved that this book was different from most others!! There was just a direct line of love from a to b! None of that stereotypical fall in love then something bad happens and she gets pissed at him for something before they get back together stuff!!

Oh my goodness! Another awesome book!! Now I cannot wait for the next one!!! You can read any of the books by themselves or preferably the entire series! Once you enter the BDB world you will never want to leave. This book will take you on a lot of ups and downs especially if you have read the entire series as well as the Fallen Angel Series. I am so excited to see what the next book will bring! J. R. Ward has such a brilliant mind. The only thing that I wish that she would have incorporated more of is Vishous. He is my favorite brother in case you didn’t realize that. Actually I love all of the characters in this series but there is something so compelling about the character that she portrays as Vishous. As a huge fan of J. R. Ward I urge you to read just one book. If you have not read any of the books in this series yet. I would start with the first book in the series which is Wrath and Beth’s story. I challenge you to read one of these books you will not be able to put it down!

Murhder is a character that has been alluded to and whispered about for many books. He is that infamous member of the BDB who was kicked out. It was about time we got his story. Murhder’s story wasn’t anything that I was expecting it to be. I was expecting an evil crazy male, but what we got was a damaged misunderstood, lonely male that missed his brothers. He is just as honorable as any of the other Brother in the BDB. The secondary story revolves around John Mathew, and it is still very apparent he is one of Ward’s favorite characters. I keep thinking they will figure out who John Mathew is. You will have to read the previous books to know that answer. The story also gives us the first appearance of the race’s new deity and possibly his new evil counterpoint. The world is going to be interesting. Murhder and Sarah’s romance was steamy and very passionate. It also brought tears to my eyes a time or two. I was so engrossed with their story. I loved this installment of the BDB, and The Savior is an excellent addition, full of danger, action, passion, and romance. I am giving it 5 Boundless Stars.

I loved this book! I didn't really know what to expect as Murhder has been described as psychotic, but he's actually quite sweet. He's still an alpha warrior and he is a little unhinged at times, but he's overall pretty awesome. Murhder is complex and Sarah is brave and brilliant. Naturally, given the emotional history, we see a lot of John Matthew and Xhex and I love how that all turns out. We see more of Throe which is both satisfying and confusing. I think it's time I picked up the Fallen Angels series again seeing as I'm several books behind and it might explain more regarding what Throe's been involved with. It was neat to hear about some of the vampire aspects compared to humans scientifically. The plot as a whole was very compelling. I still love Rhage with his love affair with food and his quick wit. Perhaps the crowning glory of the whole fricking book though, is Lassiter and the Golden Globes. The Savior was everything I hoped it would be and more. It's a must read for any fan of the series. I absolutely feel like reading it again.

Another good installment in the series. I liked that she focused on just a few characters instead of jumping around a bunch of them like in previous books. Lassiter cracks me up. ..............................................................................

As always I loved it. All the guys were awesome. I especially love the line about which side is my best side. I don’t know what I will do when the brotherhood ends.
