For two thousand years, the Triarii have protected us, influencing history from the Crusades to the discovery of America. Descending from the Roman Empire, they pervade every level of society, and are now in a race with our own government to retrieve an ancient artifact thought to have been lost forever.

Caught in the middle is Archaeology Professor James Acton, relentlessly hunted by the elite Delta Force, under orders to stop at nothing to possess what he has found, and the Triarii, equally determined to prevent the discovery from falling into the wrong hands.

With his students and friends dying around him, Acton flees to find the one person who might be able to help him, but little does he know he may actually be racing directly into the hands of an organization he knows nothing about.

The Protocol is the first entry in an action-packed globe-spanning series of thrillers certain to leave you breathless. If you enjoy fast-paced adventures in the style of Dan Brown, Clive Cussler, and James Rollins, then you'll love USA Today bestselling author J. Robert Kennedy's taut tale of archaeological suspense.

Get The Protocol now, and dig up a thriller two thousand years in the making...

Very much enjoyed, and am very happy I found a new Author who has a lot of books already written for me to read. And yet seems young enough that I can look forward to many more to come. I am a happy, happy reader!

Oh no! This book was so good, I am now buying the 16 other books! Love Jim and Laura and their friends in action. I really enjoy how history is intertwined with the current story, and yes, I have Googled several references and found them credible. (Like Pope Joan). Thank you for these reads!

The whole presentation of the story was not reader friendly as far as I'm concerned.

This book has a lot of action, just the right amount of character development, and at least a little of everything else: accurate historical references, legend/folklore and romance. It’s really hard to put down! I kept telling myself, just one more page and then two hours later... The only caveat is that there is a lot of killing, but it’s not graphic violence and is integral to the storyline. It’s just the right length with no cliffhangers; It doesn’t need one. The quality of the story line and writing is enough to make one want to buy more books by this author.

After that hyper-charged action, what can the writer possibly create for an encore? Kitt

Just never gripped me from the start. It was not easy to follow at certain times and was parallel to the Indiana jones crystal skull movie. I plowed through and was never really interested throughout, sorry to say.
