Author Biography: Arthur Asa Berger has written more than forty books on popular culture, the mass media, humor, and everyday life. He has also illustrated many of his books and for a dozen years did illustrations for The Journal of Communication. Among his recent books are: Postmortem for a Postmodernist, Bloom's Morning, Media and Communication Research Methods, The Art of Comedy Writing, and Ads, Fads and Consumer Culture. He has lectured in Brazil, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France, Italy, Germany, Thailand, China and various other countries. His books have been translated into Swedish, German, Italian, Chinese, Korean and Indonesian. He is married and has two children and one grandchild. He likes to travel and dine in ethnic restaurants.
