About the Author

John Bunyan wrote Pilgrim's Progress, and many other books, to do help bring people closer to God. Bunyan was not seeking worldly success, although he was trying to support his family while imprisoned since his church fell on the wrong side of the monarchy of Bunyan's time. Primarily, Bunyan wrote as extension of preaching to reach a wider section of the population, and open the hearts of more people to the divine.
