Great Book :)
When I read this book, it instantly became a favorite. It does a great job of making the characters very relatable, even for me being an adult now, since the main characters are all teenagers. It has very memorable characters because of their different perspectives on life, how they think about themselves, how they interact with others, and even their names. The book also helps show that everyone around you has a story and a journey that they have been through; everyone is an individual with different values, beliefs, and relationships. We need to respect each other no matter their background or “social class” because we are all people. I think that it’s also important to remember that experiences and traumas can happen to people of all ages, not just adults, and that young people and teenagers should be taken seriously if they have been through certain ordeals. The book also does a great job as a coming-of-age novel and helps show that life will change, for better or for worse, and that we need to pick ourselves up and keep going through these changes.
