ONLY ONE WOMAN CAN SEE...

Kendra Michaels was instrumental in bringing serial killer Eric Colby to justice. And despite his apparent execution at San Quentin, Kendra is convinced that Colby is still alive. The problem is that she can't prove it. Even her razor-sharp powers of observation-developed to an amazing capacity during the twenty years she spent blind, and now in constant demand by law enforcement agencies-have gotten her nowhere.

THAT A KILLER IS HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT

But then a reporter who very publicly humiliated Kendra is murdered. Visiting the crime scene in search of anything that might link the brutal homicide to Colby, Kendra instead finds evidence that points to her. Finally, Colby's master plan becomes clear to her: he is framing Kendra for murder. Suspicions mount and Kendra dives into a lethal mission to clear her name and catch the killer no one believes exists anymore. A killer who is always nearby, watching...whose trail of destruction is invisible to the naked eye...and whose intentions only Kendra can see.

I could not even get past the second page because the writing style made me want to fall asleep. The whole story was written in the summary so there is no point in reading this awful book anyways. Good luck making it to the end. I applaud you if you are able.

I love all of Iris Johansen's book but I'm fascinated with Kendra Michaels. She's a contradiction in terms. This is a must read for all Johansen fans.

Iris Johansen and Roy Johansen in their new book, “Naked Eye book coverThe Naked Eye” Book Three in the Kendra Michaels series published by St. Martin’s Press gives us another adventure with Kendra Michaels. From the back cover: How can you catch a killer when everyone thinks he’s dead? Kendra Michaels was instrumental in bringing serial killer Eric Colby to justice. And yet, despite his apparent execution at San Quentin, Kendra is convinced that Colby is still alive. The problem is that she can’t prove it. Even her razor-sharp powers of observation-developed to an amazing capacity during the twenty years she spent blind and now in constant demand by law enforcement agencies-have gotten her nowhere. But then a reporter who very publicly humiliated Kendra is murdered. Visiting the crime scene in search of anything that might link the brutal homicide to Colby, Kendra instead finds evidence that points to her. Finally Colby’s master plan becomes clear to her: he is framing Kendra for murder. Suspicions mount and Kendra is thrust into deadly pursuit to clear her name and catch the killer no one believes exists anymore. A killer who is always nearby, watching, waiting to make his next move, even as everyone believes him to be dead. A killer whose trail of destruction is invisible to the naked eye, despite the carnage he leaves in his wake. It will take everything Kendra has to find and stop Colby-and save her own life one more time. Let me put it this way if you are looking for a very exciting read that will keep you guessing as to what will happen next then look no further you have found it. This one hits the ground running as someone is trying to frame Kendra for murder. Good thing she has loads of help on this one otherwise I do not think she would solve it. Even Eve Duncan, from the other series, plays a role in this one. Get yourself a soda, make a big bowl of popcorn. The family Johansen have given us a very clever mystery thriller that is going to have you reading just as fast as you can trying to keep up with what happens next. Kendra using her Sherlock skills again is great! The first, blind date is funny. However, the fake romance with Lynch is cheap, romance novel crap and was creepy more than arousing. I almost stopped reading when it started, but had to finish the book. I was rewarded with more Sherlock moments! I like the Eve Duncan books and will give Johansen & Johansen another try. However, there are so many good female novelists out there now, they may only get one more chance from me.
