Gil Capps is an Emmy Award-winning associate producer on NBC Sports golf telecasts and managing editor at Golf Channel. He's worked on-site at nearly 500 tournaments around the world and has led the creation of Golf Channel's Editorial Research Unit, which he oversees. A native of North Carolina, Capps resides with his family in Winter Park, Florida.

The author does a wonderful job of researching facts and really digs deep to give the reader a sense of what time was like back in 1975. The way he weaves the stories between the key players of the tournament, and how he even digs deep into some minor personalities, gives such a complete presenation of this historical event. Any sports fan, whether you play golf or not, will love this book.
