Overview

A fever dream of desires fulfilled.

Nestled in the shadow of the Appalachians is where Gwen Ashby stumbles upon the William Marshall Academy, and she's given a trial position as a literature teacher. The gothic boarding school seems trapped in time yet it feels like home the moment Gwen arrives.

She's charmed by the lovely buildings, bewitched by the eager students…and utterly seduced by the headmaster. Edwin Yorke is noble, handsome and infuriatingly proper. But his tweedy exterior and courtly manners conceal a raw sensual power that Gwen longs to unleash.

It's strangely thrilling to be the only woman on campus–save one other. An eerie white–clad figure roams the grounds by night. She never speaks. She leaves no trace. But this ghostly blight on Gwen's new dream life is the key to the Marshall Academy's mysterious allure.

About the Author

Slightly shameless and mostly fameless, Tiffany Reisz dropped out of a conservative southern seminary in order to pursue a career as an erotica writer. This move, while possibly putting her eternal salvation in peril, has worked out better than she anticipated. She has five piercings, one tattoo, and has only been arrested twice.

When not under arrest, Tiffany writes erotica and erotic romance and is diligent in doing all her own research. Her novel The Siren will be published by Harlequin SPICE in 2011 and the sequel The Angel in 2012.

Tiffany is a relatively new author to me, but everything I've read written by her is amazing. She catches my attention, keeps me engaged and still manages to twist up the story line without me guessing before hand. This particular book kept me guessing until "the end!" Highly recommend!

I love Tiffany's writing and this book did not disappoint! Romance, sex, a mystery and a plot twist. Great writing as always!

4,5 huge, beating, fantabiulous *stars-in-my-eyes* Wow...ok...wow...I need a moment to recover...I just finished it and I'm still trying to "regain my footing", you know. Wow. This short novel by Mrs. Reisz is beautiful...I read it now, with 30 degree outside, and it's simply incredible. I'm feeling quite overwhelmed and "full". For those who want to try it (and you should because...ok, have you read what I wrote before?! no other words needed, trust me) wait a cloudy or rainy day, then prepare a cup of tea and only after all this, take a couple of hour to enjoy this little pearl. It's worth every second you'll spend with it.

Great read. This author knows how to keep a reader entertained and turning pages. The plot was great, characters were wonderful.Suspenseful, mysterious, and riveting. It is a short read. Don't wish to give away anything so I can say that the setting is at an all boys private high school with some young teenage boys and a very, sexy, academic, and proper headmaster and a newly acquired female lit teacher. Mix just the right amount of humor from all characters and this will keep all readers engrossed. This lady knows how to write a good short story. I need to thank her. THANK YOU.

“The Headmaster” by Tiffany Reisz has been nominated by the Romance Writers of America as a RITA finalist – meaning that romance writers have judged her book to represent excellence in romance writing. **4.5 STARS** Gwen Ashby has finished her master degree, broken up with her boyfriend, and is adrift in life when she stumbles across a small North Carolina town tucked in the Appalachian Mountains. When she hears that the boarding school is always looking for teachers, she takes a chance and heads over for an interview. Just as she gets to the school gate, she crashes her car and awakens in the headmaster’s bed, haunted by the desire to unravel the cool exterior of the very proper headmaster, Edwin Yorke. Ms. Reisz creates a gothic tone in a contemporary setting from the first page and does not let go. Each page unwrapped mystery upon mystery to the reader and immersed them in a world that is almost magical. The setting, minor characters (students), dialogue, and sex scenes all moved the story forward and kept my peepers glued to the page. There was a bit of insta-attraction from Gwen, but it didn’t bother me and when you learn the twist at the end…it made sense to me. I loved how Reisz weaved in the minor plots to create an eerie/gothic and strangely homey/comfortable feel all at the same time. What a gifted writer!
