Overview

The Gospels: An Astronomical Guide is the second book in the Proof of God series. In it, I summarize and harmonize all of the events in the four Gospels, and provide an astronomically-verified date for every event in the first coming of Jesus, as the sacrificial Lamb for man-kind. I also provide the date of fulfillment of the many prophesies of Jesus regarding His second coming, and the End Times.

In my first book, Genesis: Why We Are Here, I provide the dates for every pertinent event in the first book of the Bible, including the Creation saga and the prophesies concerning the future.

In my third book in the series, The Revelation: A Historicist View, I provide easily-proven dates for every event in the last book of the Bible, past and future,.

As the Revelation to John so aptly puts it, the spirit of prophecy is the Proof of God (See Revelation 19:10).

About the Author

Barry Midyet was born in the heart of the Texas Bible belt. As he likes to say, he was baptized by a Nazarene minister in a Baptist Church at the age of 14, and later as an adult, and just to be on the safe side, had it confirmed by an Episcopal bishop.

After spending 3 1/2 years in the US Navy, and receiving training as an aviation electronics technician , Barry worked 18 years as a computer engineer at Nasa/JSC. Leaving there , he then opened his own business, manufacturing personal computers.

Now retired, he has devoted the last 20 years of his life to studying the many prophesies of the Bible. The result is a three book series providing an undeniable proof of the existence of God.

Barry Midyet is a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church in the diocese of Texas.
