The God/Atheism debate was best stated by Richard Swinburne who stated that 'On our total evidence, theism is more probable than not.' I say this because of a little logical dictum called the 'Principle of Comprehensiveness' which states that 'the best hypothesis is that which best explains all the data.' The key term here is 'all.' The truth is that the God issue is not a subject you can simply and casually determine via whim. (as most do). Notwithstanding those believers who accept God a-priori on faith, it can take a life time of academic, spiritual and personal probing to get at the heart of the many deep and complex issues swirling this subject. I would even dare venture to say that basing ones belief or disbelief on an intellectually based search can be devastatingly dangerous. (unless you are supremely intellectually gifted, but more of that in moment). This is because of the enormity of disparate data that must be dug-up, cut-clean, grasped and measured in the balance. For example, a Paleontologist who specializes in mass extinction may be less prone to believe in a grand design than say, a person trained in higher Mathematics or a polymath(as myself) who specializes in the elegant beauty, and aesthetical patterns which underly the metastructure of the universe. In short I doubt that many have either the time, mental-discipline, or dare I say 'mental acumen' to wrap their minds around the arduous task of (HONESTLY) mentally sifting through and analyzing ALL the variant lines of evidence against one another. For this it takes more than sophistry and arrogance (which any psychologist knows are signs of insecurity), it takes brilliance and genius of another sort. Michael A. Corey is one of the fortunate. For he is in posession of this rare type of genius. After 30 years of thoughtful scrutinizing of the evidence, and inner reflection of my own prejudices I have come to 'my' truth. For this reason I can authoritatively recommend THE GOD HYPOTHESIS as the only book of its kind, in that it takes the reader through a fair, balanced and utterly spellbinding presentation of the pros and cons regarding this often confusing issue. In the end the reader will feel once again for the first time the magic and mystery of this marvelous world. The magic that often fades with adulthood. Michael Corey brings to life the Cosmos with and endless surplus of mesmerizing facts regarding this fascinating world we live in. A world which testifies to the validity of God. I can guarantee that this book will hush all inner doubts as Dr Corey saliently and honorably proves that THE GOD HYPOTHESIS is the ONLY hypothesis in town.

Reading Corey's book, reminded me of the days when I studied relativity, and would get those 'AH HAA!' moments of enlightenment. I suspect that those who would criticize Corey, simply aren't 'getting' Corey. His concept's are VERY deep, VERY profound, and provide answers to questions his detractors have not yet thought to ask. In short, Corey's insight's are very important to both science and theology. This book IS the future of science.

Corey's The God Hypothesis has breadth and depth covering many different fields of research and investigation. He is joining a new phalanx of thinkers who are open enough to consider what effect a biblical God would have on science and reality, without invalidating science's findings or opening a box that would make magic chic. Though I have been following these trends for years I still learned new ways of seeing and thinking about modern findings that make great sense to me.

As I read on in the book I became more and more curious about Michael A. Corey, who he is, his credentials and training. The dust cover says he 'spent the past decade researching questions of science and religion.' That is obvious in reading the book, but to understand and pull together the insights and quotations so lucidly and well organized in a field I also have spent decades researching makes me admire him as an author. I plan to get his other works. He writes with clarity and comprehension that I usually find in Nobel prize winners or heads of departments at Cal Tech. Congratulations on an excellent work. May it get wide exposure!

Have read it cover to cover and was simply impressed with the conciseness of the entire presentation. The subject matter is very appropriate in today's world and having the plain truth presented is refreshing to say the least. A must read for anyone wishing to gain insight into their own selves and the truth about our Universe we live in.

Most books totally bore me, but this one kept me riveted for hours! To call it 'intriguing' or 'fascinating' would be one heck of an understatement. I can't imagine anyone being the same again after reading this book. It never occurred to me that the hackneyed idea of a Deity could nevertheless be taken seriously, particularly by scientists. Unbelievable!
