The easiest adversary to defeat is one that is not aware of the contest, not prepared for the struggle, and not equipped for battle. The Apostle Paul did not want the believers in Ephesus to be unaware, unprepared, or unarmed.
"Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm." (Ephesians 6:13, NASB)
