About the Author

Jazz Smollett-Warwell spent the past decade as a writer/producer on various award shows and talk shows. She is a lifestyle personality, writer, home cook, party architect, and the mother of a toddler, and she shares recipes and tips on KCBS.

Jake Smollett is a home chef and food photographer who last season became the recurring guest chef on The Rachael Ray Show and has appeared as a guest judge on numerous Food Network shows, including Chopped Junior.

Jurnee Smollett-Bell began her career as a child actress appearing on television sitcoms and starring in Eve's Bayou, which won her a Critic's Choice Award. More recently she has starred on Friday Night Lights and is currently starring on WGN's Underground.

Jussie Smollett is the breakout star of Fox's Empire, frequent guest cohost on Live! with Kelly, and a singer-songwriter who sang and wrote songs on the Grammy, American Music Award, and Billboard Award-nominated original soundtrack of Empire. He costarred in the 2017 film Alien: Covenant. Jussie can also be seen as Langston Hughes in the upcoming film Marshall.
