About the Author

Bradly Thomas Hessing was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. As a kid, he was fascinated by swords. Every Christmas and birthday he asked for toy swords. When those toys broke or siblings hid them, other things became swords, like wrapping paper tubes, sticks, anything he could get his hands on. This fascination led him to reading books with swords. After being introduced to the fantasy genre, he was hooked.
While he has always enjoyed reading, his interests evolved into a love of sports. Brad spent much of his youth playing soccer, basketball, and baseball. After years of dedication to soccer, he went to college on a scholarship. After his first year of playing soccer, he made a tough personal choice to serve a mission for his church.
Two years later, after a loose hair drew him to an attractive woman. Brad found and later married Emily Hessing. The two are currently living in Meridian Idaho. Brad maintains his interest in athletics by coaching high school soccer.
