The Creep Among Us: Golden State Killer After The Arrest based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
Reading Anne Penn’s book, “The Creep Among Us” is like going on a journey. A journey with a beginning and an end. A journey about life, with sorrows and joys. But through the sorrows comes joy, “The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.” Kahlil Gibran. Anne takes us through the “Valley of Sorrows” to a mountain of new joys. After reading Anne’s book, I have a deeper appreciation for the joys on my path. The reality of our imperfect world are killers it produces, so how do we respond to this reality? We can ignore them or we can hide behind iron doors and electric fences or we can study a killer and learn how to stay out of his path. Anne wants us to know how this killer selected his victims, where the killer went hunting for victims, how the killer entered the homes, and why some victims died and some did not. As it is said, “Know your enemy.” Anne has dedicated a large portion of her life to the study of this killer. Why? Because she was touched by him. Two members of her family were murdered by him. Thanks to Anne’s book, I sleep better at nights because I learned how to better fortify my house. My thoughts of empathy and sympathy for the victims and their the families has helped me mature spiritually. This is an amazing book. Thank you Anne Penn. “Joy and sorrow are the parents of our spiritual growth.” Henri Nouwen
