Overview

Better the devil you know than the devil you don't...

A deadly new enemy rules Alesia with an iron fist—and an unnatural interest in the magic of the Confectioner's Guild. Betrayed by one of their own, Wren and her few remaining allies flee Maradis to secure whatever aid they can find.

But new dangers and old ghosts lurk around every corner, forcing Wren to confront truths she thought she'd buried deep long ago. Will Wren be able to piece together an alliance, and enough of her own shattered heart, to take back her home from those who hold it hostage? Or will her magic prove too tempting a morsel for her enemies to refuse...

Don't miss this thrilling conclusion to the Confectioner Chronicles!

The Confectioner's Truth (The Confectioner Chronicles #3) by Claire Luana was an epic conclusion to a equally epic series. The final book in The Confectioner Chronicles, we are taking to the secrets that Wren hides, and ones we finally get to learn the full truth about. Picking up almost where the last book leaves off, there is no stopping this epic fantasy. As the danger lurks closer, the suspense thickened, I was on the edge of my seat for most, I at times even forgot to breathe! This book, was damn near perfect, and as much as I didn't want to leave this world, or these characters, all things must come to a end. I have to say, as this being one of my favorite series of 2018, I'm feeling pretty satisfied with the ending. There is nothing else to say, outside of the wonderful detail and the top notch writing that is consistent throughout the series. This is a series to all, and I highly recommend you get your hands on it. Please take my golden stamp of approval, that you will get lost in this beautiful, wonderful world of magic, betrayal, love and above all, friendship. Happy Reading -E.A. Walsh

The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana 5 +++++++++++++++ Stars I can not believe this series is over :( This story had me a hot mess and started right in on page 1 and never let go till the end and then it stayed with me for a bit after. There was a lot going on in this story, we met a lot of new people and visited many new places..I loved this part and I felt as if I was right there with Wren as she was making quick decisions and having a lot of inner battles...I found myself trying to help her and felt like I was feeling everything she was. This character has grown so much through these books and I have totally fallen in love with her, and poor Hale...I miss what feels like the old days with Hale and now there he is regretting so many things, this made me sad. I'm not going into any more than that. You have to read this, the twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat the whole book. This author has done an amazing job with this series. I've loved every word and every page of all of these books. I absolutely can not wait to read them all again!! She ended this series beautifully and in my humble opinion sets the bar high for any other books in this genre. Brilliant and I can't wait to read what is to come from this author!! This is one of those books/series that deserves so much more than 5 stars.

I give The Confectioner's Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana, 5 stars. **This review contains spoilers from previous books in the series.** It seems like nothing will be right again. Wren has fought to be where she is today, but where has it brought her? Betrayed by a good friend. While another lays dead from something Wren encouraged. And the man she loves -- gone from her and she doesn't know where -- or if he's even alive. She can't do this anymore. But the new king may just be even worse than the previous. There is a dark plot going on, destroying what little left Wren holds dear. Can she find the strength to help stop it? Does she even want to try? Or should she just flee? This series has been absolutely amazing. And this, the conclusion, is no different in that regard. Each book seems to have gotten darker and this is definitely the darkest one yet. There is so much despair, especially in the beginning of the book. But there is also action and love amongst the heartbreak. Not to mention the characters. Many of them are back from the previous books. And the growth they have all gone through is astounding. Some for better, some for worse. Some seem lost, others find their true meaning. Plus there are new characters we meet, both ones we love and ones we hate. Some, we're not sure about just yet. Yes, this is the conclusion to this series and is does not disappoint in that aspect. It does bring us a certain kind of closure. But my heart breaks, because I really want to see so much more of this world. Dear author, can we please see more of this wonderful world? For those lovers of fantasy in a world of action and twists and turns, I highly recommend this whole series.

The epic finale to Claire Luana’s highly anticipated Confectioner Chronicles has arrived and it did not disappoint. The Confectioner’s Truth is the final book in Claire Luana’s amazing new series that I highly recommend it to every man, woman, and child. It is so good and the finale wraps everything up deliciously. I absolutely adored this series and there isn’t much I can say about this final book without spoiling it for anyone. But seriously read this series, starting from the Confectioner’s Guild, you will not be disappointed by a tale this yummy. I cherished all of Claire’s characters, as they are incredibly well developed and rounded. They all read as real people, with their own back stories and motivations. Claire’s world building is also incredibly well done. Her magic system is flawless and perfectly executed, as she expands the world over the three novels. But I feel like one of the most underappreciated gems of the series was Claire’s ability to describe food and drink throughout the series. My mouth watered the entire series, due to her descriptions being so impeccable. I wish I could give this book a 6/5 star review, but alas it will have to settle for 5/5. Thank you Claire for another amazing series!
