About the Author

Twain Braden is a member of the American Bar Association and has led wilderness trips and sailing adventures throughout northern New England, the Atlantic Ocean, and Caribbean Sea. He holds a current master mariner’s license and is the author of three books on sailing topics. Twain lives in Peaks Island, Maine, with his wife and their four children.

Sam Manning is a marine illustrator, craftsman, daily rower, and advocate for the simple life. His work regularly appears in WoodenBoat magazine. He is world-renowned for his meticulous maritime illustrations. Manning lives in Camden, Maine.
