In the 1950s and '60s, Andy Williams was one of America's favorite pop vocalists; his rich voice and easygoing style made him a star on television, radio, and the concert stage, and his personality was especially well suited to holiday-themed material. 1963's The Andy Williams Christmas Album
and 1965's Merry Christmas
both rose to the top of the Billboard album charts, and his 1974 release Christmas Present
would also become an enduring seasonal classic. The Complete Christmas Recordings
features Williams' three yuletide albums for Columbia Records in full, in addition to a holiday single Williams cut for Cadence Records in 1955. The set also includes a version of "Ave Maria" that only appeared on a single, and previously unreleased Spanish- and Italian-language recordings of "White Christmas."
