Johnnie Brewster took himself a wife,
And married Genie Brewster for life.
They had lovely Little Brewsters times three,
Named Maddy, Roxy and Billy.
The Brewsters were happy and carefree,
Their days filled with laughter and gaiety.
The sun was out every day,
Warming along The Brewsters' way.
It only rained to water the flowers,
Never a storm; more like showers.
Each night the moon was out,
With stars scattered about.
Each Brewster child went to school,
And learned the Golden Rule.
Each Sunday they gathered to pray,
Followed by lunch and afternoon play.
Each Brewster child had a chore,
Once they were three or more.
Helping out Mommy and Daddy,
Was something that made them happy!
Whether their home needed fixing;
Or a cake needed mixing;
Or taters needed mashing;
Or dishes needed washing;
Or the garden needed planting from seed;
The Brewsters pitched in and did the deed!
The Brewsters were part of a team you see,
There was never you or me; only we.
Each Sunday morning The Brewsters were ready,
To go to Church and listen to Pastor Steady.
The Brewsters were dressed in their Sunday best,
'Cuz Sunday was a day different than all the rest.
Then, The Brewsters chatted with everyone,
They didn't leave church till the greetings were done.
Exchanging a kind word and a laugh or two,
With new people and everyone they knew.
Then The Brewsters headed home for Sunday lunch,
They prepared a picnic for each Brewster to munch.
The first thing to do was say a prayer of thanks,
Starting with Daddy Brewster, then down the ranks.
After the dishes were done they played outside,
And on their bikes the children did ride.
And soon they had their evening meal,
And again so blessed did they feel.
They played a game and had their bath,
Then reviewed their spelling and their math.
And then the Little Brewsters went off to bed,
Making sure their prayers were all said.
