A memorable ensemble cast of four young women who share a beautiful loft apartment in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen and experience the glamour and challenges of city life, love, and career in this irresistible contemporary story.

Four young women’s lives intersect in the apartment they’ve shared in Hell’s Kitchen: Claire, a shoe designer; Abby, an aspiring novelist; Morgan, a successful financial consultant; and Sasha, a resident in obstetrics. As different as they are from one another, the women had become a family by choice. But while their lives had proceeded smoothly in the years they’d lived together, new relationships, job opportunities, and surprising circumstances will test the strength of their bond in and outside the loft that had become their home.

This was disappointing to me in that it seemed to be written by someone else other than the great Danielle. There were too many shallow characters instead of the robust ones usually found in her books. Hopefully the next novel will return to the greatness we all appreciate.

Danielle Steele does it again! A wonderful story set in Hell*s Kitchen, that blends creative characters, realistic story lines and life and death drama all glued together by a cheap, loft apartment. A great read at the beach book!

I agree it started out slow, but picked up towards the middle.

Enjoyed reading this book. Took a little time to get into the 4 women but after a while I was very interested. Would have liked one more book chapter to tell us how everyone was doing a year later.

This book is a combination of "44 Charles St." and "Sisters" as far as I can see. One renter acquires 3 roommates and they blend like a family. All of family issues and some have relationship phobias. Steel is really starting to repeat her plots. It's almost like she goes through her older books and decides what she can tweak to make it new. She's done.

I really liked this book. The characters are full of life and come alive on the pages. It's a little hard to follow in the beginning because there are a lot of characters to follow but once you are in, you are all in. I cheered, booed, cried and laughed which is typical Danielle Steel. The book is hopeful, nostalgic, and thoughtful.
