The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe, tells a story of a man who cares for an elder, believing he is not mad, but is thoroughly disturbed of the old man's eye. Becoming dedicated and driven to destroy it. He goes through the horrific journey of an insane murder to get rid of the devil-like eye. Will he end caught, or will he get off scot free? The story in my opinion was great! I would recommend it to every middle school and high school student. If you are looking for a story with a suspenseful style with an unexpected but, exciting twist, this is the book you want to read. With a theme, based on guilt the story seeks no measure of intense excitement.

¿The Tell-Tale Heart¿, by Edgar Allen Poe, is an excellent murder story that is told through the eyes of a madman. Poe writes with such detail that makes you feel as if you¿re living the story and makes your heart skip a few beats. It is a must read for anyone with a desire for horror and suspense. The main character and narrator in this story is a mentally unstable man. He never shares his name, but he vividly shares his thoughts and emotions, while telling the story. He is determined to convince you that he is sane, but from the way he describes the tale, you know that there is something wrong with him. He is the caretaker of an old man, for whom he looks after. Of everything in the old man¿s appearance, it is his eye, that resembles a vulture¿s, that vexes the narrator. This eye is what makes the narrator come to the conclusion that that he must murder the old man, in order to escape it. Every night, precisely at midnight, the narrator creeps into the old man¿s room and watches him, by the light of the lantern, that he shines on the vulture eye. For seven nights, he repeats this routine, each time finding the eye closed, and is therefore unable to commit the task. On the eighth night, he accidentally causes the lantern to make a noise and awakens the old man. The lantern is not lit, so the old man does not see the narrator, but he knows that something is wrong. For an hour, the old man sits up in bed, trying to comfort himself. Finally, the narrator can no longer stand it and jumps into action. Once his work is completed, the guilt he feels, takes his insanity to a level that he never knew possible. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was very well written and allowed you to look into the mind of a madman. The details and word choice created a feeling of suspense and pure horror that messed with your mind and forced you to see the terrible truth of reality. ¿The Tell Tale Heart¿ was full of excitement and suspense. It was very well written and at times made my heart stop. Overall, it was a thrilling story that made my worst nightmares come to life and kept me hooked from beginning to end. It deserves six stars, but I can only give it five. Well done Poe!

Introduction The Tale-Tell Heart is a chilling and suspenseful tale about a man who is driven to the point of insanity by the man he dearly cares about eye. And he claims he is a picture of mental health. Description and summary of main points The story is about a person who claims to be sane yet he is far from it, that has to not only escape the police after a frightening event but also he must escape his own conscience. Also, the setting made the story all the spookier. Everything happened because of an eye, a conscience, and a neighbor with a sharp sense of hearing. Evaluation Surprised that in the face of adversity that the man does what he must to try to keep his sanity. Although he may or may not, you¿ll just have to read the book and find out yourself. Conclusion A very chilling and suspenseful story that made me never want to put the book down. Also, it made me feel like I would never make me want to read another happy story. This is the book that made me love horror fiction. Your final review I loved it. I think that Edgar-Allen Poe put it perfectly. He could not have told the story any better. I recommend it for any reader, of any age over seven who wants to hear a chilling, frightening tale. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

The Tell Tale Heart is basically about a man that is a little crazy, but doesn¿t want people to think he¿s crazy. The crazy man lives with the old man in the old man¿s house. The old man has a condition that makes his eye turn a milky color and his eye scares the crazy man. The crazy man hates the eye and he says that it scares him. He says if the eye is closed then the old man can live through the night but if it¿s open, he must die. The Tell Tale Heart is a good book but it¿s kind of creepy. It has murder, a little bit of crazy, scary, and most of all suspense. I think the author¿s purpose is to say that a person shouldn¿t be treated wrong because they are different. The man would talk to himself about nothing and he might hear voices. He would spend a hour every night at midnight opening the door to the old man¿s bedroom. He would say that if the eye is close then the old man can live through the night but if the eye is open then the old man must die. When the old man realized the man was in there he let out a shriek. The man took the mattress filled with feathers and smothered the old man until he was stone dead. Once the old man was dead, the crazy man cut the old man¿s body up in many pieces. He took the body pieces and put them under the floor boards and then the police came to the house. This story is something a person could read if they wanted a good story. It¿s all about suspense and it will have you hanging of your seat. They would love it because it has murder and everybody likes a little murder. This is something I call a really good story and it will have people wanting it to be a novel. Someone will love this story, it¿s just full of things that makes a person entertained. I think this story is a GREAT story. It is very entertaining and it will make a person wanting more and more. If anybody wanted a story full of suspense and mystery, then this is the story for them. If someone was bored, this book would make them come out of their boredom. I absolutely loved this story and I would read more books if they were like this. I enjoyed this story a lot and it had me wanting more.
