Once upon a time there was a little boy named Sammy. He loved going to school and Papa would always take him there. His mother was a teacher at his school. So he knew how important it was to follow the rules and to listen to his teacher at all times.
Sammy was a good boy. But one day when Sammy was getting ready for school he looked over at his guinea pig, Teddy. Then he said, "Teddy I love school. But I miss you sooo much when I am there!" Sammy stood looking at Teddy. All of a sudden he got a huge smile on his face.
I know, you can go to school with me!!!!! TEDDY'S EYES GOT VERY BIG....
Just then Sammy heard his Grandma call, "You have five minutes until it is time to leave. Make sure you have your lunchbox and homework." Sammy quickly dumped out his lunchbox under the bed. He wanted to use his lunchbox to carry Teddy. So he opened Teddy's cage, carefully picked him up and placed him into the lunchbox. Sammy began to close the lunchbox, but then remembered to leave a small opening for air.
Grandma called again, "Come on Sammy, Papa is ready. Do you have everything?" Sammy came running past, holding his lunchbox and homework up high so she could see that he had everything he needed. Grandma smiled and said "Have a great day! I love you!" Sammy looked back and said, "We will." as he climbed into Papa's van. Uncle Tony said, "He's sure in a hurry today." On the way to school Papa would always say, "Sammy, which way do we turn next?" Sammy would say, "Take Taylor to Tilmont" and they both would smile. He liked saying Taylor to Tilmont.
Now at school, Papa opened the backdoor to the van and started to reach in to help with Sammy's lunchbox. But Sammy said, "That's okay Papa, I've got it." As Papa and Sammy where walking into the school, Sammy was careful with his lunchbox because, you know what was inside! Papa walked Sammy to the door of his classroom and said, "Remember your mother is going to take you home today."
The first thing Sammy has to do once he enters his classroom is to put his lunchbox on the shelf. That is where all the lunchboxes are kept. So, he placed his lunchbox down on the shelf, leaned over and whispered softly, "Be a good boy Teddy."(Continues…)
