I teach a blueprint reading class in our local career and technology center and was looking for some up-to-date material that I could share with my class. Having owned several of the older editions of Technical Drawing, I was pleased with the refreshing new treatment given here. I know that this edition has been criticized for using many of the older problems, but that should not be a deal breaker for most people as this text more than makes up for the shortfall. There is quite a bit of new material here and the overall design is very pleasing and looks very contemporary. I am reading select chapters so that I can stay current with the ever-changing technology. Yes, this is not a cheap book to purchase, but I think it's a bargain in terms of all the material contained within its many pages. I would not hesitate in recommending this textbook--both for instructors and their students. This baby has been around for a long time (and so have I--I started with the 8th edition) and for good reason!
