I have read several of the books in this series and enjoyed them all. Tangled Up In You was no different and in fact this may well be my favourite. This is single mum Teagan Shaughnessy and Bobby Hannigan’s story and oh what a story it is. I love how involved the Shaughnessy family is in one another lives. Now that Teagan has moved to town, they set their matchmaking sights on her. I was riveted from the start with this book and it was fantastic to see some familiar characters make an appearance. This book at times was an emotional roller coaster with plenty of drama, angst and love sprinkled throughout. The last thing Teagan wants or needs is to become involved with a man, never really having gotten over her fiance dying serving their county. Now, despite herself and knowing that the timing is horrid, she finds herself drawn to Bobby, a family friend and a policeman who has been badly injured and is still recovering. I have always loved the dynamics of the Shaughnessy family, the love and commitment they have to one another and their friends is wonderful. The relationship between Teagan and Bobby is heart warming as is the relationship with her son. I really loved the slow build to love that Teagan and Bobby go through and despite the distance, it was fitting for these two people who so needed to find a happily ever after.

A glorious return to all things Shaughnessy! If you were as big of fan of this family as I have been throughout this series, you will be thrilled to get to touch base with all of them again when their cousin Teagan finds love with Bobby Hannigan. Love this series as a whole and this particular book was a mix of reunion and rediscovery. Enjoyed it! Bobby Hannigan didn't expect to be heading back to his parents home in North Carolina, but when you get shot and your whole career is on the line waiting to see if you will recover, things have a way of snowballing. The only bright spot in this whole dark time is meeting Teagan. Teagan Shaughnessy followed her parents from Colorado to NC so her son would still have the family he dearly loves near him. She's not looking to make any more big changes in her life at the moment, but she can't seem to get her heart to understand that every time it skips a beat when Bobby is near.

Fans of Chase’s Shaughnessy Brothers have waited a long time for Bobby Hannigan’s story and won’t be disappointed with this 7th (and probable last) book in the series. Bobby, a cop in the process of slowly recovering from a gunshot wound, has moved back home to heal with hopes of rejoining the force. Single mom Teagan Shaughnessy, cousin to the large brood immortalized in previous books, has also moved to the Carolina coast with her parents and young son, Lucas and runs into Bobby at a family gathering. Although both have plans for the future that don’t include romantic entanglements and Teagan wants to protect Lucas from growing too attached, the attraction can’t be denied and the bond between them grows. However, Teagan worries about getting involved with another man who puts himself in front of the line of fire after losing her fiancé in Afghanistan. Can these two people help each other through their grief and build a life together? Chase excels at writing heart-warming, honest stories with complicated family dynamics, sexy scenes that aren’t too graphic, and the struggles romantic partners must overcome to be together. Many of the characters in previous books that readers came to love are featured in this book, especially Quinn and his wife Anna, Bobby’s sister. Although Bobby and Quinn have had a contentious relationship in the past, it’s Quinn who talks with Bobby about the extent of his injuries and the probability that his career is over. It’s very satisfying to see past hurts and animosities ease as the extended Shaughnessy clan celebrate family and protect and defend those they love. I received a complimentary ARC of this book from Sourcebooks Casablanca through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

I love those stories where the two main characters know the instant they meet that the other person will be special in their lives. Teagan and Bobby did not disappoint. They were cute together, and when he connected with her son, makes this momma heart swoon. I loved his words to her telling her that he knew she would be ok without him, but he needed her. There was more to their story after he said those words, but those stuck with me. Their happy ending was beautiful and their families around them, supporting them, with glimpses of how their lives are going was perfect. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

Having read all of Samantha Chase's Shaughnessy Brothers and Band on the Run series, I have been fully invested in the lives of the Shaughnessys and their extended family. Chase's wonderful writing style and engaging characters have given me many hours of reading enjoyment, and I'm sad to see the series end. Tangled Up in You features police officer Bobby Hannigan, Quinn Shaughnessy's brother-in-law, who was shot when he happened upon a robbery while off duty. His recuperation is uncertain, and his future as a cop is in limbo. Teagan Shaughnessy is a single mother who has moved to North Carolina to be closer to the family and take a new position after getting her degree. The attraction between Bobby and Teagan is immediate, but both are afraid to risk following up on it. Teagan dealt with losing her son's father while he was deployed overseas and is afraid of the risks of Bobby's career, while Bobby is terrified of the depth of feeling he has for Teagan. Chase's deftly deals with their apprehensions and places the focus on what's really important. "Wasn't life about taking risks? Wasn't love about taking risks?" Bobby and Teagan overcome their fears and earn a hard-won HEA. "You brought laughter and joy and all that goes with it into my life." I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I heartily recommend this book and both series.

Teagan and Bobby were both people healing from wounds. Bobby's was definitely a more recent and obvious wound in that he'd been shot. Teagan was still healing from losing her son's father when he was killed while deployed overseas. As one quickly learns when dealing with injured people, they aren't always rational or understanding. Bobby is embarrassed by what he feels like are weaknesses brought on my his injury so when it happens, he often strikes out and is angry with others. Teagan simply has refused to put herself back out in the dating world since the death of Lucas' father. She has not wanted to risk the heartbreak to herself or for him. I love the protective nature Bobby feels for Teagan and Lucas almost instantly even though Teagan is a strong and capable woman. It does get old hearing the family talk about what a "manwhore" he was in the past and how they can't move past it to see that maybe he's changed. I found that part a bit frustrating. Everyone has a past, good or bad, they should be able to move on from it. There were things with Teagan that were irritating at times too. I understand that the loss of Lucas' father was a defining moment in her life but when she started seeing a police officer, she should have understood then that he was a "police officer" and accepted all that comes with that. Instead, it led to some drama that felt unnecessary - - but I know that happens in the "real world" too. Sometimes we aren't rational people, especially after loss. Overall, I really enjoyed the romance built between Teagan and Bobby (and Bobby's relationship with Lucas as well). I found the ending that Ms. Chase gave them to be a perfect HEA. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Tangled Up In You – Samantha Chase I was fortunate to receive this book as an Advance Reader Copy from Netgalley, in exchange for an objective review. Teagan Shaughnessy is a young, single mother, trying her best to raise her young son Lucas and gain an education. Having lost Lucas’ father to a military demise, she devotes her life to raising their son. She has just moved from Colorado to coastal North Carolina, where she’s landed her dream job. Bobby Hannigan is a police officer who, while trying to thwart a robbery, took a bullet to his shoulder, that may just end his career. Angry and humiliated that he has to rely on others to assist with his care, he is staying with his parents until he is independent enough to return home to Myrtle Beach and the life he knows. At a family picnic the two chance to meet and sparks fly immediately. But Bobby remains angry at his disability and and continually isolates himself from Teagan and the things he is beginning to feel for her. Similarly, Teagan is attracted to Bobby, but her determination to forgo a relationship and raise her son has her back-stepping from Bobby. Can these two star-crossed lovers find their way through their difficulties and learn to love? I chose this book more for the setting (North Carolina) than the storyline, as I used to live there, and I found it to be a quick sweet read! A little dry at times for me, but Lucas was a show stealer quite often. I loved the backstory, and repartee between Bobby & Quinn as well! A part of a series if you love the characters, but easily read as a stand-alone as well. The perfect beach read!!

Teagan have just moved to the area, to be closer to her parents, the ocean and her extended family. But after losing her Fiancé 6 years ago, Teagan is use to looking after herself, can she let one in.Bobby was shot when visiting the local mini market, he wasn't even on duty. He has come home to be looked after, and face the prospect that he may never be on active duty again. Then a certain lady makes he realise what he is missing. A lovely story, but I did find Bobby very childish and a bit annoying however he redeemed himself in the end.

This seventh book in the Shaughnessy series is a wonderful story of family, home towns, moving on, and trust. Author Samantha Chase delivers the story of Officer Bobby Hannigan and Teagan Shaughnessy so perfectly, I couldn’t think of anything else while I was reading this! Teagan’s military husband was KIA before her son, Lucas, was born and when she decided to move across the country to be near family and for a job she was excited about, Lucas wasn’t too pleased but she was determined to make it work. Her parents moved with her to be by the family and help Teagan raise Lucas. Bobby Hannigan woke up in the hospital to Quinn Shaughnessy’s face. Even though they had rough times in the past, they have since become friends. Friends who know too much about each other…oh and they are now family because Quinn married Bobby’s sister Anna. As Officer Hannigan remembers why he is in the hospital, reality hits him. Unsure of his recovery potential, he becomes reclusive and grouchy. I loved this storyline and delivery so much! It gave me all the feels…heartbreak, love, frustration, anger, deep feelings….I was pulled into this single mom story so deeply! Add in the hot, sexy cop and the sparks and it was an easy 5 star rating for me! I would whole-heartedly recommend this phenomenal love story!

I have truly enjoyed reading all of the Shaughnessy series books. Getting to know all of the different family members has always been fun. What sets Tangled Up In You apart and makes it exciting is that it is about about Bobby (Anna's brother) and Teagan (a Shaughnessy cousin). They are related but in a different way and the main characters of the other books are supporting characters in this one. Bobby, a police officer, has been shot while off duty. He is kind of miserable and goes to his family home to recover. While there he meets Teagan a Shaughnessy cousin who has been away for many years and has just moved back to town. Suddenly he is smitten and wants to change his ways. Teagan is a single mom with some issues of her own. Will they or won't they get together? Love will hopefully conquer all. It was great to revisit the members of the Shaughnessy family and members of the Band Shaughnessy, too.

Oh, Samantha Chase… you are amazing. You find just the right words to pull at my heart while keeping my brain jumping with thoughts on where this story will take me. Teagan is wonderful. She is a single mom who has experienced so much loss already and is now opening her heart to finding love and happiness again. I was in awe of her strength, her carefulness, and her love for her son. Bobby is just as amazing but he has different issues to overcome. He is healing from a gunshot wound, trying to learn how to accept help, and figuring out how to put his reputation behind him. The attraction between Bobby and Teagan is instant, steamy, and so sweet. There is no doubt that they belong together but it isn’t quite that easy. Between the two of them they have to find a way to form a family that includes a son, a huge family, and a history that both of them haven’t figured out how to move past.

First off, FAN-FLIPPING-TASTIC!!!!! OH! MY!! GOSH!!! Thank you, Samantha Chase, for writing this story and extending the Shaughnessy series for one more book! I FLOVED every single word!!! I have either read and/or listened to every book in this series and was wishing for a story for Bobby Hannigan. We first really met Bobby Hannigan in Ms. Chase’s book Always My Girl, which is about Bobby’s sister Anna and Quinn Shaughnessy. There was a bit of animosity between Bobby and Quinn because of the way Quinn had been treating his sister. Yes, that has been worked out, but they (Bobby and Quinn) still give each other crap. So, when Bobby is shot in the line of duty and Bobby wakes alone in the hospital and sees Quinn, Bobby know Quinn will not sugar coat his injuries. Now, Bobby has moved home with his parents until he is healed enough to e living on his own. He has become a bit of a grumpy bear, which is understandable because he is possibly losing his career as the only kind of police officer he has ever wanted to be, in the field, not stuck at a desk job. He also wants to do EVERYthing for himself, and with his arm in a sling, that is just not happening. So, when Bobby starts fumbling his plate at the Shaughnessy barbeque, and Teagan reaches to help him, he excuses himself and walks away, back to his parent’s house. Great way to make a first impression, Mr. Grumpy Pants! Teagan Shaughnessy is an army brat and has moved around the country with her parents until her father retired and they finally settled in Colorado, of course near a military base where she met Logan, her 5-year-old son Lucas’s, father. However, Logan died in combat before he ever had a chance to even learn that he was going to become a father. Now, Teagan and her parents have decided to move back to the Carolina coast to be closer to family. So, when she starts talking the sexy as sin man with his arm in a sling, yikes…. Then, when he starts to fumble his plate, she tries to help him and grabs his plate before he drops it Bobby mumbles “excuse me” and stomps away!!!! I loved watching Bobby and Teagan work out their feelings and start building their relationship. I really like the way Lucas and Bobby developed their bond, and I cried like a baby when Bobby asks…. Sorry Ladies. I am not giving any spoilers away. I really love the way that Ms. Chase caught us up with everything in the ll of the members of the Shaughnessy family. Especially, when she wrote about….. Sorry ladies, if you are a fan of Samantha Chase and ALLLLLLL of her books, including the ones her editor hated, well, I said no spoilers, and…. STOP. NO SPOILERS. But it is sooooo hard sometimes!!!!! I will say this I FREAKING LOVED CHAPTER 8!!!!!! SIGH!!!!! Thank you, Samantha Chase for sharing your phenomenal writing talents with your readers. In my opinion, you are one of those writers that never, EVER writes a bad book!!! Thank you for the hours and hours of reading and listening enjoyment you give me. Yes, I also buy her books from Audible, so I can listen to them over and over. So, before I give something away, and ruin your fun of finding out what I am writing about, I am going to end my review. Thank you for reading my review. NOW, what are you waiting for????? Go hit that purchase button and see what I and everyone else that has read this phenomenal book is talking about!!!

I don't know how you can love a book that can break your heart so easily but Ms. Chase has found a way to make it happen. I tend to like more romance and less heartbreak but somehow the it has made the romance so much stronger int his book. It is always great to catch up with characters from this series, I love how much they feel like family.

I LOVED Bobby and Teagan’s story! These two were perfect together. They just clicked immediately. Bobby was so sweet with Lucas, and it was awesome seeing both of them come together, even after someone tried just about everything to keep them apart. My heart broke for both of them, and the challenges they faced. A fantastic addition to the Shaughnessy series I would highly recommend!!

Teagan Shaughnessey decided to follow her parents when they retired to a small town on the Carolina Coast . She found a great job and for the first time since her fiance was killed while on deployment her and her 5 year son, Lucas are living on their own. She's loving the opportunity to reconnect with her cousins and their extended families. Bobby Hannigan is back home temporarily recovering from a gun shot wound, A wound he didn't receive while in the line of duty as a police office. He's dealing with a possible career ending injury and is being pretty mopey and cranky. The connection these two have is great. Though they have a lot of to work through. Bobby has a reputation of being a player and Teagan has a habit of using her son as a shield. They also have well meaning Quinn helping them out...Not! Just when they think HEA is theirs to grab Teagan is having trouble dealing with Bobby possibly being able to go back to his job as a police officer. She's already lost someone she's loved can she handle someone else she loves with a career that risks their life every day..... how do they resolve this...

Oh my goodness, this was so good. It tugged at the heart strings and made it soar at the same time. Bobby Hannigan and Teagan Shaughnessy are both strong and independent people who do not, and that should have been DO NOT like to depend on any one for anything but watching these two come together was spectacular. Teagan is a cousin to the Shaughnessy family we all have grown to know and love and has just moved to North Carolina with her young son from Colorado. Bobby, a police officer, suffered a gun shot and now is recuperating and not healing as fast as he would like. When they meet the chemistry is off the charts but Teagan is reluctant to start up anything and wants to be friends. Yea, that doesn't last long, but it was fun watching these two find their way. Definitely a keeper in this series. MORE! **Received this ARC for review**

I had thought the series had ended back with Holiday Spice and to be honest, I wasn't ready for it. So imagine my surprise when it was announced that Tangled Up in You was the extra Shaughnessy book we all hoped for! While the book focuses on Bobby Hannigan (whose sister is married to Quinn Shaughnessy), he finds his own HEA with a Shaughnessy cousin. There is a lot of heartbreaking backstory here for both the hero and the heroine but it makes their coming together and fighting for one another that much more satisfying. Perfect ending to a beloved series.

So excited to read Bobby's story and it did not disappoint. I could not put it down. Bobby is recovering from a gunshot wound and now his career is in jeopardy as a police officer. Teagan, a single mom has just moved back to Carolina to be with her family, The Shaughnessy's. Bobby and Teagan are both strong willed independent souls but can't deny the sexual chemistry between them. Bobby has been known as being a player and Teagan has not had a relationship since her fiancee died, she has been busy raising Lucas. Can they make this relationship work and find their HEA? Loved, loved this book. So much emotion, that will leave you smiling. Loved Bobby with Lucas, it made me fall in love with him. Teagan, she took a while to grow on, she was so afraid of loosing Bobby like her fiancee. Loved reconnecting with the Shaughnessy family, a great wrap for the series.

Bobby and Teagan will have you believing in love after heartache. I loved the flashback in the beginning, with a young Bobby claiming a favor. The story starts with Bobby's struggle after suffering a gunshot wound and not sure he'd be able to recover enough to be given active duty again. When he finds the perfect distraction in Teagan Shaughnessy, you just want to erase all the miles between them so they can be together. Teagan has a crushing story of her own...when her fiance dies serving their country, she's left a single mom since pregnancy and her first priority has always been her son Lucas. She never thought she could have those feelings for someone again, but doesn't want to put her heart out there, especially for someone lives far away. Their journey to each other is inspiring. The kids and family encouragement (meddling) will keep you in stitches, and you'll find a permanent smile on your face while reading!

In Tangled Up in You we finally get Bobby Hannigan's story. One split second is ALL it takes to change everything that Bobby thought he knew about himself and his life as he's planned on living it. Teagan is a single mother to a young son who has overcome her own tragedy and adversity. She's moved her and her son back to the Carolina coast to be closer to family as they start the next chapter in their lives. Bobby and Teagan are brought together by circumstances and both feel a spark but neither feel that it's the right time to pursue a relationship. There's something to be said about proximity though and how intertwined their lives really are with all the Shaughnessy's they have in common. Can two people who hate asking for help from anyone learn to rely on each other? Will Quinn let Bobby date his cousin without any interference? Can Teagan learn to stop guarding her heart because of past tragedy? You really need to read this book and go on this journey with them as it's so beautifully written and honest in it's emotions. Ms. Chase is truly the BEST at pulling on our heartstrings and I swear she gets better with EVERY book! I CAN'T wait to read what she writes next as I know THAT it will be AMAZING!! I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.

Samantha Chase takes us on another fantastic journey of love that is full of family, passion, and emotions. Captivating from beginning to the end. Bobby Hannigan has been down on his luck since he walked in and was shot in an armed robbery. Bobby just cant catch a break. With the possibility of him losing his ability to perform his job as a policeman, everyday is a grim reminder of what could be his future. Until he wanders over to a barbecue that the Shaughnessy’s are having and comes face to face with Teagan Shaughnessy. Her sassy wit and beauty change his whole outlook, until his arm makes a fool out of him. But Teagan has dealt with a lot more than a bad arm before in her life. Losing her son Lucas’ father before he was born was devastating. But no one has ever caught her attention, until Bobby. Bobby Hannigan and Teagan Shaughnessy are perfect for each other. A story full of real relationships problems, that will bring all the feels, as these two find their way to a HEA. Loved also getting caught up with the Shaughnessy Family. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a fast, easily read, feel good book. The story of Bobby and Teagan will fill you with emotions throughout their journey. Teagan's son Lucas was a cute bonus, along with all their families making appearances. So much in a relatively short time, but when it's right, it's right and you just know it.
