Sandi Patty, one of Christian music's leading ladies, returns to her inspirational roots with Take Hold of Christ, her first all-new collection since 2000's These Days. Once again, Patty has found ten winning songs that express sincere devotion and honest emotion without the cloying sap that sinks so many other inspo projects. After 20 years in the recording industry, Patty is still in pristine vocal form: she's able to go full-tilt on the title track's powerful closing crescendo and convey real emotion behind gentle lyrics like, "In the movement of a breeze, I can hear You speak," from the lovely "How Beautiful." Patty's amazing voice has always been her signature, and while she hits sultry lows ("You Have Been So Good") and rafter-raising heights ("Alleluia"), what sets Patty apart from everyone else is her ability to communicate with this powerful instrument. One would be hard pressed to find a singer in any genre who so unerringly hits the listener's heart. Patty may be considered old-fashioned by today's young performers, but as Take Hold of Christ makes clear, hers is a talent that endures. Listen up, grasshopper, and hear how it's done.

This is definitely one of Sandi Patty's best collections. This takes us back to the early, wonderful songs that have become her standards. From the great up-tempo praise songs to the slow, beautiful, quieter selections, Sandi's glorious voice shines as powerful as it always has. A must for Sandi Patty fans as well as for those who love beautiful Christian music.
This album is incredible, It shows that Sandi has not lost what won her grammy nonminations and countless dove awards, That versatile 1st soprano voice. This ablum takes you from the stratusferic title track conclusion of "Take hold of Christ" to the beautiful, majestic "The Majesty and Glory of your Name" Sandi shows her true singing talent in this piece you sense her never ending love for music.
Sandi Patty is back with yet another AWESOME album!! "Take Hold of Christ", in my opinion, is Sandi's best to date. She once again teams with producer Greg Nelson for an album that takes her back to her roots that made her a household name in the '80s and '90s. It is full of catchy tunes, powerful anthems, and beautiful orchestrations backed by the London Session Orchestra. I love the whole album, but a few of my favorite songs are the title track, "Alleluia", "Mighty Is the Name of the Lord", and "How Beautiful". Whether you are a fan of Sandi's older style or not, I think you will really love this album. Add it to your cart now!! You won't be sorry!
