About the Author

New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti has worked as an art curator, Senate aide, lawyer, college professor, and a hearing examiner - only to culminate it all in stories about Alpha males and the women who claim them. She is a member of RWA, has won awards for her works throughout the industry, and has a journalism degree with a poly sci emphasis from Pepperdine University as well as a Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho.

Growing up amid the glorious backdrops and winter wonderlands of the Pacific Northwest has given Rebecca fantastic scenery and adventures to weave into her stories. She resides in the wild north with her husband, children, and extended family who inspire her every day-or at the very least give her plenty of characters to write about.

I love this series of books. It is the second book in the series and you need to read the first one to understand this book. There is a lot of action in this book. Great love story that is tied into another sub plot. I can not wait for the next book to come out!

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 1/2 REVIEW:  Matt Dean has always protected those he love. He stood up for his brothers when he was little. He fight to keep them safe from everything and everyone. But failing his youngest brother has been the hardest then he has ever had to go through. But he still has two brothers left that need him. The need him to complete his latest mission in order to save them all. But oh the wicked twists of fate are about to bring dear old Mattie to his knees.  Laney is a woman who knows that it is just a matter of time before he past catches up with her. A past that she doesn’t ever want to relive. But when a tall, dark and very dangerous man finds his way into her life, for just one moment she let’s her guard down. In that moment everything changes, and not all of the changes are for the better.  Loved this books. Loved Mattie & Laney. Loved that Emery.... well you will just have to read and find that out. This was a great second book in Rebecca’s Sins Brothers series. I am so looking forward to Nate’s book and uncovering all the dark secrets that this brother holds.  If you have not read book 1 Forgotten Sins, I would highly suggest that you do. While I think you could read Sweet Revenge and be okay. I really think that you need to know the Gray Brother’s history and to do that you need to read Forgotten Sins.  Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley & Forever (Grand Central Publishing) in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

AudioBook Review Stars: Overall: 5 Narration: 5 Story: 5 Quick Recap: the Dean brothers are all Special Forces, and part of an experimental government program that, with an implant, created the perfect fighting machines – only problem? They have an expiration date. And Shane (in Forgotten Sins) started to show the cracks in the system with his disappearance, reappearance and rediscovery of Josie, not to mention the questions that arose and his ongoing grief at losing one of his brothers. Now we have Matt’s story – and as the eldest, his alpha protective gene was in high gear long before he chose to enter the military or he was ‘tweaked’ to become the ultimate soldier. It didn’t take me long to get into the story and reacquaint myself with these Dean men – alpha, controlled, determined and ever so sexy, with their underlying thread of sadness as if a piece of them is missing. Matt is searching for the answer that will keep he and his remaining brothers alive – and his lone-wolf mission as he searches has brought him to small-town Idaho and to a bar where he decided to take a job and gather more information. He feels close to the answers, or person who can help him, and this delay is strategic, if not intended to take very long. Laney Jacobs has hidden herself away in Idaho, burying her own past secrets and cares and managed to make a life for herself. Avoiding complications, close relationships or even attractions – Matt is everything she knows could lead to trouble. There’s something troubling this man, and she can’t deny her attraction for him, but her life in Charmed has been enjoyable and relatively trouble-free. Well, until now. But, she hires Matt on as a bouncer, and his wholly alpha nature and attitude (although softened with his true heart and goodness) speaks to the side of her that never felt safe or protected. He can do all of that and more, and as they grow closer she comes to believe in and trust him to make the choices that will both keep her safe and give her a future free from running. Sexually these two are chart-topping hot, with sweet nothings being romantic and heartfelt, and you just could melt over Matt alone. Sure, there is danger and threats, but you just know, even when things feel their most bleak that Matt will find a way – through skill or will, to keep his word for her and his brothers. Narration for this story is provided by Karen White, and she never disappoints. From distinct voices for each character that feel appropriate and apt to her ability to use pauses and silence, pace and volume to enhance moments and allowing listeners to fully absorb and feel the emotions coursing through the story. Zanetti’s characters are layered and complex, with different reasons for avoiding or pushing away from others, backstories are often heartbreaking and yet, when presented with the care and quiet revelatory tones that White uses, even the secrets that are revealed feel like the character is simply sharing with you – not just as a pat of the story, but because you need to know this information. Another winning combination of author and narrator – and a wonderful romantic suspense listen – even for those (like me) who never finds themselves gravitating to the genre. I received an AudioBook copy of the title from Hachette Audio for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

This was the second one in the series and I liked this one better than the first.  I truly enjoy these characters and can't wait until the final book due out next year.  If I had to give any criticism, it would be that the relationship started out way too fast to be realistic and believable, but even then, the characters and their story had me from the very beginning.  I love how the books in these series have a perfect balance of romance, suspense, mystery, action and even bromance.  Truly a great read, very different from contemporary romance these days and it kinda had a "Bourne Identity feel to it except different and more romance than action.  Great job with this series, Ms. Zanetti!

I like the premise of this series. There are 4 brothers who have been enhanced by "The Commander". All their senses are multiplied and they are the elite soldiers. They are looking for their freedom. Rebecca must have done lots of research for all her military tactics in her books. This is the first time I have read one of Rebecca's books. I will be looking for from her. As I got farther into the book I found that as much as I liked the book I had to walk away to regather myself. That's how I know it's a good story. I hope you try this series. You won't regret it. I didn't!

O. M. G. I loved this book. I loved Forgotten Sin so much I didn't think this book could beat it but I was so wrong. I want Matt he was so hot and so alpha. I need more. *sigh*. Matt and Laney have great chemistry and are a perfect match. Rebecca Zanetti out did herself. If you have not read her yet you are truly missing out on some great books. I've read all of them and she is a must buy for me.

## Awesome. That's how I would describe this book. The story is suspenseful, intriguing, and romantic all in one. Sure the hero had some issues and likes to boss the heroine around. But he always tries to protect her. And the heroine was perfect. Smart, beautiful and sassy. Just how I like them. This is obviously a series but it stood alone just fine. I will be seeking out Shane's story. Good read, appx. 330 pages.

The Dean brothers are wonderful even with a horrific childhood. Family and foregiving makes the book so strong.

The second of the Sin series, Sweet Revenge, picks up several weeks after the first ended.  The kill chips are still set to detonate and little progress has been made on finding the third brother.  In an effort to find the doctor that implanted the chips, Matt heads to Charmed, Idaho, where he meets Laney Jacobs.  Not long after Matt arrives a serial killer starts targeting the single women in town.  Though initially the serial killer storyline seems to detract from the tension surrounding the brother’s fight to remain alive, it ends up tying together in Zanetti’s capable hands.  Matt soon discovers that Laney is not quite who she seems, though in the end that doesn’t seem to matter as their attraction takes over.  I really enjoyed Laney and Matt and can’t wait to see where the next book goes.
