A delightful short story collection from the Tales of Blythe Cove Manor Series…”Sweet Dreams”, “Forever Bound”, and “Honeymoon With a Ghost.” This collection will take you on a magical emotional journey. The stories range from an emotional story about a couple near divorce to a couple that seems to have known one another in another time to the last story about a newlywed woman who husband has gone missing. The first story “Sweet Dreams” had my waterworks going. We meet a married couple that has won a vacation to Blythe Cove Manor. The couple is on the brink of divorce after they have suffered a tragedy in their family. The tragedy has left the couple grief-stricken and angry. They feel there is nothing left for them as a couple until their last night at the manor. I was crying my eyes out by mid-story but was pleased that the story turns around and has a very happy ending. The second story “Forever Bound” has a little bit of the supernatural feel to it While remodeling a house Ellie finds a mysterious box. Once in possession of this box, Ellie has a vision of Blythe Cove Manor and an irresistible draw to visit. Once she arrives at the manor she meets Drew who claims to have had a vision of her and has been waiting for her to arrive. The couple soon learns of a curse that was put on their ancestors and that they must put thing right in order to be happy. This is an enjoyable story which made me smile. In addition to the supernatural aspects, the story is a wonderfully sweet love story. The third story “Honeymoon With a Ghost” is another emotional story. We meet Emily as she shows up alone for her honeymoon. Emily is understandably upset as her husband went missing from the airport on their way to Blythe Cove Manor. The police found a letter and some pictures along with some documents in her husband’s bag that point to her husband lying to her about who he was. Of the three stories, this story is the one that is mostly a mystery. As I said earlier the story is full of emotions. I felt for Emily as she was angry and hurt; she felt betrayed by her husband’s disappearance and lies. As the story progress and the mystery of her husband’s life is solved, I felt sadness and finally bittersweet happiness. I recommend this collection of short stories to the mystery, romance, and paranormal lovers alike. The stories are very well written, with great pace, interesting impassioned plots... I was given a copy of this book in hopes I would submit a review. All thoughts and opinions are that of my own and in no way influenced.

Blythe Cove Manor is a quaint bed and breakfast on scenic Martha's Vineyard, with a caring owner, Blythe Calvert, and even a mascot cat, Martha. But even more important than the charming rooms and ocean view, the Manor also contains a special kind of magic...a magic that can seek out what is missing from its visitors souls and help them find their way to peace, love and understanding. Summer Magic contains three tales. First, is Sweet Dreams by Lorraine Bartlett, a story of a long married couple who when faced with a tragic event can't seem to get past that moment and are quickly approaching an end to their marriage. Can Blythe Manor soothe their heartache? The second story is Forever Bound by Shirley Hailstock, where the past and the present seem to merge together in this sweet tale of love lost and found. Finally, the last story is Honeymoon with a Ghost by Kelly McClymer, a bittersweet story of a bride abandoned after her wedding. As she explores the Manor and the Island, her supposed honeymoon location, she seeks to learn where she went wrong in her evaluation of a man who could cause her to fall hopelessly in love and believe all his promises, and then simply vanish without a word, leaving her bereft. A lovely trilogy of stories filled with love and magic. Disclosure: I am voluntarily reviewing this book.
