About the Author

I began construction on Legends Lost Amborese ten years ago while in high school. At the time it was merely a few pages of notes in a notebook. I continued working on the story of Amborese while in college in the hope of publishing it. That day came in August 2011 when the book was first printed. Most recently, I have published the second book in Legends Lost: Tesnayr. I keep myself busy writing the third and final novel in the Legends Lost trilogy: Galdin, which will be released in Summer 2013. You can learn more here: If you prefer something more contemporary try the Mellow Summers Series. Mellow Summers moves to Vermont to start a new life only to discover that she has a acquired a new ability: she can speak to ghosts. Join her as she is pulled from one mystery to another. I have also published in the area of nonfiction: Illogical Nonsense. I had never planned on writing nonfiction, but when I had the chance to write a political commentary book, I took it. I enjoyed it and hope that it is insightful to any who read it. Besides writing I also read, hike, and crochet. Sometimes I just wander around doing nothing at all. Every once in awhile a girl needs a break and these are great past times.

This book was wonderful. Mellow is a fascinating character. Plus she can see and talk to ghosts and investigate crime. Her friend Jackie is a little wild and fun and balance well against Mellow. Even the ghost Rachael is mufti-faceted. I be reading more of this series. It was a well written and interesting read. I highly recommend it. Especially if you like strong female characters.

This book is a quick, easy read. It's an entertaining story that moves along at a quick pace--sometimes too quick of a pace for me. Some ideas and events were not fleshed out to their greatest potential. The book also suffers from typos and inconsistencies that pulled me out of the story at times. The age of the main character is an odd choice, and, unfortunately, she acts much younger at least half the time. Not wanting to give away any plot spoilers, I will only mention that the characters' dull reaction to the realization of ghosts is less than believable. There was also more "tell" than "show" for me, but the book has potential to be a great story. The book is a fun idea, and the characters are entertaining. It's not a difficult read, and it is full of action, so if you're looking for something quick, this is a good choice.

I love mystery stories and this one was a nice twist with paranomal elements. The author did a great job with this story. In this book we meet Mellow who is just another college student. She soon learns that with moving into her new apartment she gets to much more. Mellow learns the ghost of the girl that used to live in her apartment is still there. Mellow and Rachel get along pretty well to say one of is human and the other one a ghost. Rachel asks Mellow to help her find out who killed her. What ensues is an adventure full of comedic hijinks. I liked that Mellow was an average girl and didn't take herself too seriously. She is like the cool friend you love to have around. As Mellow and Rachel continue to put the pieces together it takes Mellow to different places. I liked that she was willingly to get out of her comfort zone. It made for some pretty laugh of loud moments. There were some situations I caught myself just chuckling out loud. The author did a great job with those scenes. I overall thought this was a great read. It was a fun liht hearted mystery read. I found myself rooting for Mellow to come out on top. I liked Rachel's character too. She really proved that sometimes you have to be not so nice. I recommend this to readers that want a nice fun read. It will keep you entertained from beginning to end.

Mellow Summers or Mel to her friends is twenty-six years old attending college in Vermont. Her best friend Jackie has come along as Mel's support system. Mel never believed in ghosts that is until she met Rachel. Rachel was murdered a year ago and she's been trying to get someone to help her solve her murder. Mel reluctantly agrees to help Rachel find her murderer but needs Rachel to tell her what happened that night. Rachel remembers very few details about that night. Mel meets Greg in her video editing class and learns more about Rachel from him. Greg asks Mel out and she agrees to go. Jackie and Mel both work at the Candle Shoppe not far from their apartment on Alamont Street. Jackie is wondering what is going on with Mel because she appears not to be acting like herself since moving to Vermont. Jackie wants answers which Mel is not sure how to give. Their apartment has been broken into yet nothing was taken. Mel's video editing class Professor Vincent makes Mel very nervous and uncomfortable. Rachel is pressuring Mel to work on finding her murderer but with classes, work, and studying there hasn't been much time for her to do so. Mel learns that Detective Reiss was assigned to Rachel's case but thought Rachel's boyfriend Tom killed her yet without proof could not be arrested. Can Mel help find Rachel's murderer? What is Professor Vincent hiding? Why was Detective Reiss sure of Tom's guilt? Who did murder Rachel? Will Mel listen to Rachel? Your answers await you in Sugar and Spice and Not So Nice.

Seems like it started I the middle of the story. All of a sudden there is Rachel and Mel trying to trick the cop.

I like this. The characters were fun and the bad guys were REALLY BAD! It was very nice to have the boyfriend being a real gentleman. This isn't seen much in real life and it's refreshing. Only negative was a few grammatical errors but that's a pet-peeve of mine.
