About the Author

Robert C. Benson III (Bob) Bob is co-founder and president of American Business Advisors, Inc (ABA), a strategic and management consulting firm specializing in the development of small and mid-sized companies through the phases of business growth. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA*). Bob has been a business advisor to hundreds of companies and is also an accomplished entrepreneur, founding or co-founding seven businesses. Before co-founding ABA in 1984 he was founder and the Managing Partner of Benson Wells & Co., CPA's (now Corne Jantz & Associates P.C.); and co-founder and past president of SecurCare Self Storage, Inc., one of the ten largest self-storage companies in America.
Mr. Benson has a B.A. degree from Dakota Wesleyan University with majors in Business Administration and Mathematics and a Minor in Economics. He has also taken additional course studies in marketing and finance from the University of Colorado, Denver, and numerous continuing education courses offered by the CPA profession and others since 1970. His other professional accomplishments and associations include: Member of the Institute of Management Consultants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants; Past member of the Professional Practice Board and past Vice Chairman of the Accounting and Auditing Procedures Committee of the Colorado Society of CPA's; Lecturer, Center for Leadership Development, Kiev, Ukraine; Author of numerous business articles; Publisher/Editor of The Strategic Edge™ business newsletter; and Publisher/Editor of The Spirit Led Business™ newsletter.
Over the period beginning in 1970, Bob has also been active in various non-profits, as a board member of Child Evangelism (St. Paul, MN), Christian Business Men's Committee (St. Paul, MN), Denver Youth for Christ, Southern Gables Evangelical Church, Cherry Hills Community Church, COMPA Food Ministry, Project C.U.R.E., and Global Connections International. Bob currently serves on the boards of Dakota Wesleyan University and The Love & Logic Institute. He writes articles for The Spirit Led Business™ newsletter, with an objective of providing practical applications for laypeople in business to apply Scripture in their day-to-day lives.
